Lots of stories saying Hamilton is now dating Kim Kardashian...
Oh look, another high profile platonic relationship with a global superstar aimed at pushing his brand further :D

I mean, I like the guy, but the sooner he comes out of the closet and gives up on these fake "relationships", the better it will be for the sport, and himself!!

Maybe she's his new race engineer (can't be worse than the last one). At least then when they screw him over, it'll be consensual.
Back to motorsport, Button has become the ambassador for AMR https://www.astonmartinf1.com/en-GB...inted-team-ambassador-for-aston-martin-aramco
I guess this is down to JB's Honda and Japanese connections...
AM are worrying me. Extreme car design, new unreliable Honda engine, Alonso and Button in the same team...GP2 engine incoming.

It's drag 'n' drive time again in the USA, with Sick Week 2026 going on currently. The event started yesterday at Gainesville Raceway, FL. Mike Finnegan took Blasphemi, his 1955 Chevy gasser rocking a supercharged Chrysler Hemi, along again and has her absolutely dialled.

The run.

Not a legal timeslip to turn in, as gassers only have rollcage certification down to 8.500 in the 1/4 mile. So Mike went back around and pedalled the car to an 8.507 @ 146mph.

Further to that last post...day two, Mike put a larger pulley on the supercharger (to make less boost, down to 11psi) and pulled 6 degrees of ignition timing out. That slowed the car to a pass of 8.68. He put some timing back in, and it ran 8.493 @ 155. He was hoping to get a third pass in but there just wasn't enough running time in the end so he had to turn in the slower pass which puts him second in class. In his own words:

Mike Finnegan said:
if you had told me we would be running an 8.49 pass with just 11 pounds of boost and 20° of timing in the motor. I wouldve said you’re crazy. This car is crazy efficient now and I love banging gears in it! we still got three more days of racing, and I like our chances.

Mid 8s in a car he takes his kids to school in

Disappointing but not unexpected. Alpine/Renault are cutting pretty much all Motorsport. Rumour is they're looking for a buyer for the F1 team too.

Ford, Hyundai/Genesis and McLaren joining in 2027 though. I also wouldn't be surprised to see another brand dropping out of WEC. Perhaps Cadillac will only run in IMSA and rely on F1 to spread the word globally.

Bathurst 12 hours this evening, live of YouTube. Good entry this year circa 35 cars compared to 22 last year. Usually a spectacle to watch as it starts at dusk and sun rises around 2nd lap always spectacular.

6:45pm GMT start time I think.

True, wouldnt be surprised to see a Horner led Alpine buyout

There was a massive accident at the Bathurst 12hr yesterday
I watched a few hours and the highlights this morning.
The officiating was horrendous, firstly the above with no waved double yellows, a red or even a SC called for like 30 seconds leading up to the incident. Then 90 seconds for anyone to get near the car.

Another incident showed a marshall in the background struggling to get flags out in a sensible time frame and ended up just holding out the poles with the flags wrapped up.
Also another horrendous accident with Skippy. There should be taller catch fencing to be honest, think this years race has showed that the track needs some upgrades.
