Mountain Biking

If I can shift my trek frame, sektors and wheels (flows on superstar hubs, tubeless with Hans dampf) I can probably just about stretch to some new pro evo 2 on flow ex.

Someone buy the monitors I have in the market too :D

Leaning heavily toward the patrol.. There's a shop advertising on pb for frame, pike 160 solo air rct3 and hope headset for 2100. Then another 380 on wheels.

Screw mavic neil_g - get something with 30mm ID... the new Easton Arc rims are the teets.
Patrol's a good call - bikeactive will cut you a deal, he's done a good deal for gettothechopper if I recall.

Anyone happen to know what tires I can clear under a 2012(ish) Recon Race fork on 26" rims? Got some rather small 2.2 WTB Mutano's on there atm and would really like something with a bigger profile/more grip. Been looking at 2.4 Maxxis Ardents (and Minions) but not sure they will clear.

Will check bike active out cheers

Will look at the eastons too. £140/pair plus rebuild and spokes maybe £200 total to rebuild onto my hubs?

Superstar? Just had a pair delivered, excellent value.

yeah my current wheels are flows on superstar switch.

which ones did you get?

oh by the way, the patrol has the same seat post size as the trek does so might be keeping hold of the reverb. but will let you know.

Not been on a bike since I was a kiddie.
Should be fun :/

would asking £400 for my old frame and forks sound about right or optimistic?

2010 Trek ex5 (120mm) - will come with hope traditional 1-1/8 headset, hope seat collar (not QR), rear wheel abp 9mm QR skewer, shimano XT-SLX BB70 hollowtech bottom bracket, Fox RP2 propedal.
2013 RS Sektor RL Solo Air 150mm 15mm - TFTuned, Racing Bros low friction seals, currently lowered to 130mm, unused RS shock pump

Both pretty clean, just a few usual stone chips etc. Bearings in pivots, headset and bb all good.

Any recommendations on grips, seats and peddles to replace on stock bike. Will give current bike few weeks to see how I get on but no doubt I'll want to replace these later on.

This is a late response but I don't think you need to bleed for that, it's probably just lost a bit of pressure. Extend it fully, remove from the bike and top it back up to 250psi. If it happens again quickly it might need a service (which seems to cost almost as much as a brand new one) but otherwise it's just one of those things to do every few months or so.

Thanks a bunch for that, just checked and it only had 200psi, pumped it up and now its back to normal!

Grips: Superstar or Raceface Half Nelson
Peddles :D (Pedals): Superstar get my vote everytime
Seat: Charge Spoon.

Those are my recommendations :)
