Mountain Biking

Pedals really depends on budget. I really like the Wellgo DMR copies. Superstar Nano's are also fantastic.

Grip wise, superstar again.

Seat is a lot of personal preference really.

I love my saint pedals, I use to have DMR v8s and I much prefer the saints. Though do remove the pin spacers as it will help the grip even more.

DMR vaults for pedals for me (brendog ones because there cool :p). I used to have nukeproof neutrons, but usually felt uncomfortable after a while however the vaults are flawless :)

Thanks will take a look.
Bought a camel bak, helmet, multi tool, inner tubes, pump, just need few more bits and I'll be a full kit w***** :p

Does anyone here use SPD pedals? I keep meaning to try them on my MTB (I use them on both on road bikes) but then I'll have a last second hop off or fall off moment and be glad I didn't!

Ive used bike-components.de a few times, very highly recommended over on BikeRadar. Had no issues with the tyres/cassette/tubes Ive ordered from there.

What kind of riding? XC - yes, anything fast and technical down hill (where you're likely to **** it) then stay with flats.

I've gone over the bars a few times with SPD's and I've come unclipped doing so but now if I know it's going to be fraught with danger then I'll stay with flats - big distance then clipped

Where do you guys look for accommodation when you're going to places like Wales? My parents have a cottage just outside Snowdonia and want to appeal to mountain bikers but don't know where's best to advertise?

90% of my riding is done at the Thetford forest trail centre and the near by trails at Brandon park. I'd say this was firmly in the XC category as far as my knowledge goes.

I'll give them a try on my current bike as I'm familiar with it and get an idea of what to do with the new bike when I get it. That is if I ever decide on what wheel size to go for. I now have a bike mentally lined up in all three :o
