Mountain Biking

got the magic mary and hans dampf combo at the moment

its great on the downhills, HD on the back is great - doesnt slide out (so far) on the berms

not done a lot of xc on it yet - hope its not too draggy or cloggy

I like specialized tyres, I use a butcher grid front and a purgatory grid rear, they are a great all round compromise and roll better than hans dampf, high roller and rubber queens. If you don't need this much grip then a purgatory front and ground control rear will be even faster. This time a of year id be putting mud specific tyres on and like bontrager mud x if you're on 26".

Soooo, one of those bontrager charge things or an airshot? Looks to be £90 vs £60. I have a track pump... but yeah - don't want to be dicking around with dying, using it.

I've read some reviews on it and people say it's feeble and plasticy - have you found that (to its detriment)? I guess not from what you've just said, but...

It might break, if I throw it down some stairs or something. I mean you could probably flex it if your hamfisted. I think people just expected it to be more of a 'premium' looking product. But they controlled the market on this product, so could charge what they wanted.

It's perfectly fine though. Those reviews are written by someone who wants a handcrafted wooden oak, with engraved handle.

Bird bird bird bird is the word :D oh she's lovely in black!

You has one?
I got mine invisiframed, and now I've got a paint chip on the seatpost where it's not covered. WAH. I think it's from rocks I was bombing down on saturday.

Came yesterday! Just need to get a groupset and tyres and she's ready to go. Oh and dropper but that will have to wait until post Xmas.. :(

I was thinking of taping mine up, kind of wish I had paid for Bird to do it now. Oh well.

I regret not taping mine up from day one, but then if you worry about it too much you'll never ride it.

Did you not have a dropper on the Shan? You keeping the Shan?

I'll probably just do the downtube and toptube. Already a little scratch on the top tube, so much for the "hardest paint system available" lol

Dropper on the Shan is too small for the Aeris :( And isn't Stealth. Oh yes, not getting rid of the Shan... love it too much!

Yeah I found it scratches very easily, my Zero has scratches everywhere. Along with a massive gash out of the rear triangle. I did drop it down a mountain to be fair though.

ooh ooh ooh..
