Mountain Biking

Be intresting to see a price....

Anyone used the oneups chain guide?

http://www.oneupcomponents.com/collections/all-products/products/top-guide

Seen it on pinkbike the other day, and I'm randomly dropping chains recently. Plus the weight!!

Dont think it's available over here.

Have a look at 77designz.com :) http://77designz.com/product/freesolo-iscg-05

You can order directly from their website, they have a UK warehouse. Also Chainreaction sells One Up products

I like that black Capra CF Pro!

They are very very very good value for money, however for a CF bike I find them heavy. - Heavier than my Slash was!

On a side note, I went out on the Geometron on Sunday in horrible weather, boggy rain soaked tracks and.. I LOVE IT! It picks up speed so fast, even in bad conditions. Weight wise like I said not the best at 33lbs - I also went up one of the most horrible climbs around here quicker than my Slash! Seems to sag down a bit and stay static! Very nice bike to climb on!

LOVE it.
The bike' not actually that heavy then, because you've got a pretty beefy spec on it. The wheels are really heavy for "enduro" wheels, same with the pedals and think the cranks are also fairly porky. Bunch of weight to be saved, should you wish to, but since it climbs well... who cares.

Rhys - I haven't out tape on them lol! Its black decals!

Cow - Shame your going away as you'd love this bike! Spec wise your right, the one I test rode was dead on 30lbs complete. I reckon I could get this sub 30 if I wished, but I ride like a goon and destroy kit so meh!

Has anyone flown with their bike using easyjet.

Clearly states on their site;

Bicycles with hydraulic suspensions or brake systems will be accepted

Only flight here anywhere near France :/

How I read WILL as won't, I've no idea! Holiday back on track :D

Been out to Geneva 3 times with bikes on Easyjet. Never had a single issue, once they asked us to open bags to make sure tyres were deflated, but other than that they've always just went straight on.

Where are you off to?

I'll book 27th then if you 2 are up for it, and see if Baj is, though he hasnt replied since sunday.

Sorry mate, busy week at work. I don't think I can commit at the minute unfortunately. As I said we're looking to move house around that sort of date, it's Easter weekend too by the looks of it.

Desperate to go again mind. If you guys book in I'll keep an eye on spaces if I can make it closer to the date.

Ended up booking to go to BPW on the 9th April with some mates for work yesterday. Hopefully I can avoid breaking bones this time...

In advance of BPW and other riding this year I'm thinking of getting a better helmet. I'm tempted by one of the Bell Super 2Rs, the detachable chinguard appeals more to me than having separate helmets. Anyone come across any negative opinions on them? Is the MIPS system worth paying extra for?

Nice to hear!

Planning on going to Les 2 Alpes at the end of June/beginning of July. Probably need to fly further afield though, as no flights from here to anywhere closer direct. Basel, being the closest place!

Friends wanting to go board on the glacier, and also do some biking at the same time hence Les2Alpes area rather than Morzine etc.

Still got to consider if the 5 hour drive is worth it after a 3 hour flight though.

I've seen one in some high street shop (Evans?) It just looked cheap, but it's not. I'd say half shell for riding, full face for uplifts.
