Mountain Biking

11spd chain is slipping in the 11T and next one up when putting force through the pedals.. any ideas guys? Gotta try and sort it tonigth before the weekend.

Only done about 250miles on it. Checked if it's worn and it's not...

As much as I want Minnaar to win, I can't help but think Loic deserves to.

Its a long shot, but its entirely possible he can take the overall, would require a shocker from Gwin though.
Danny really has stepped it up, genuinely impressed with the commitment he has put in this year!

Great performance from Loic as well, he has come back from injury stronger than i guess anyone would have expected, 3 months away and only a second back from a win... impressive!

I get the feeling bryceland isnt that fussed this year, seems like every 5 mins there's a video of him and crew messing about. So much potential if he'd take it a little more serious.

Glad for Rachel too, but hate to say it womens is too much of a forgone conclusion these days. Hope Tahnee starts nipping her heals next season, manon has gone off the boil too.

i didnt say he didnt care, but something has changed since his winning season. maybe its just struggling to get back to form after blowing his foot apart.

i just cant help the feeling that a few less videos of blowing out some berms and he might find a little more consistency.

same for sam dale, i dont know whether GT are more relaxed than madison but if seems he's been given free reign to prat around a lot more in that little group. which is a shame because that team could give him a big step up.

His sponsers are probably more than happy for him (rat) to be doing videos, it attracts the younger generation more than winning races does. Probably attracts more attention to their brands.

You also have to consider just how strong the competition is at the moment, pretty sure its not that he dosnt care, i guess he's just having an off season, hasnt looked entirely comfortable all year, i guess when the competition is so strong, you really have to be absolutely at the top of your game, with your head in the right place.

As Begbie says, i too think that these videos can sometimes be more valuable marketing wise than winning races.
you'll notice a lot of the videos nowadays are done on Trail/AM/Enduro bikes, and thats where the money is at the moment.
 
Like I said I don't think it's that he doesnt care. As you say the rest of the field is very impressive right now, which is why he needs to up his game. Personally I'd love to see him winning again.

I'd bet that SC would prefer a win, who doesnt want to buy a WC winning bike. And they need all the help with their prices... :p

What left have they got to prove? They have the most successful rider lineup in the history of the sport!:p

But yeah of course they want to see some wins, the old dog Minnaar seems like the closest chance they have at the moment, and he can still take it on a good day, fort bill for example, i'd love to see Ratboy find his form again, but i dont see it happening this year, he needs an off season to reset, refocus, train and get his mind on the task.
I think Danny Hart is a perfect example of what some dedication, focus and hard work can achieve, we've known for years he has the skill and talent, his Champery run was proof of that, he just needed to lock down the fitness focus and professionalism.
Josh needs to look at what danny has achieved this season and use that as a template for next season.
 
Josh is brilliant though, watching his videos are always fun. And seeing him on any sort of interview is hilarious. It must be quite a hard year for him, having Peaty leaving the team too. He's been there for his whole career.

I'd love to see Minnaar pull it off again soon.
 
Peat who I think I'm right that he did most of their wins on other bikes? Minnar has 2 Champs on the sc but like peat isn't getting any younger.

Maybe I'm just a bit disappointed in the rat after such promise. I'd love to see him winning again. His vids aren't really worth the watch either, just smack of him and his mates messing around most of the time.
 
Thanks guys. I'll take a look at all of these.

The TLD Air gloves have zero padding on the palms, so the friction from the grips makes my hands hurt after just a few kilometers.
