Mountain Biking

Had anyone had any dealings with Bergamont bikes? Spotted a nice one with £1300 knocked off, very tempted - https://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/b...cMfHaEHLiieSeP6YJYmvPo3j_JX86208aAjfLEALw_wcB

Late as the post is a month old now but I've had the Bergamont 2018 Revox 7 hardtail since Jan 2018, was only around £500 in sale, was originally around £900. Some images posted in this topic at post #6359.

German made and seem to spec well in terms of components for the pricing. Been more than happy with mine especially for the price, averaged about 40 miles a week on it since, only had to replace a couple of inner tubes recently from stem punctures since then, everything else still working great. Even the disc brakes haven't diminished, though I might replace pads soon. Just been keeping chain and cogs oiled and tyres pumped, works really well still. Much lower end than what you're looking at, but I imagine the quality will be even better on the higher range.

Thanks for the reply, better late than never! :D

I didn't go for it in the end, I've fitted a new drivetrain to my Rose for now and it feels almost new again.

Going to get all the bearings replaced and the fork and shock serviced, then hopefully enjoy riding it again for a few years before taking the plunge on a new one.

Recently got a Specialized Fuse 27.5 (2021)

While its not the fanciest bike out there, its so much comfier than my last one!
Looks smart. I’m after a new Hardtail this year or next as upgrade to my Marin Bobcat. Decided I want to go back to a Hardtail does all instead of cheap Hardtail for winter and full bounce from March till October. Sold the full bounce today.
No Hardtails in stock that I like.

Morning all. Still waiting for a new bike, got deposits down now for a Whyte 905 or an Orbea Laufey. Or whatever else comes up, but am resigned to the fact it may well be some time.

Anyway, I have a Boardman Team 29 from around 2017. I need a new cassette but am getting confused as I cannot work out whether I have an XD or splined driver. How can I tell?

Is it shimano or Sram?

Sram is nearly always XD, espically if it has below a 11t. I think the NX or SX had the Shimano type on it? Easy to tell as the Shimano type can't go below 11t.

I do love this bike.. Since selling the (Bird) Aeris it's all I've been using.. Does everything I need it to.
