Mountain Biking

Now that's a result I'm happy with, would have loved to have seen Danny Hart, ratboy, or even Mike Jones take his first, but regardless I'm happy with that.
Another true legend of the sport still sticking it to the young'uns, I suspect that the syndicate will be partying long into the night.

Went to the Forest of Dean again today. Quick lap of the blue then heading up the hill for some of the downhill runs. 2 runs down Launchpad again before having to make a move home. Loving the dropper post, being able to keep the saddle up for peddling up then hill the quickly drop it down for heading down again is so nice!

With the dropper down low so I could keep my weight back I was much more confident over the jumps, by the end of the day I was hitting them far more aggressively and on my final run down Launchpad I even managed to clear the tabletops properly for the first time :D

Need some better pedals and shoes. Just can't decide whether to go SPDs or not...

Loic sending that jump at the end like a proper hucking bawse

Wish I could find the footage of Matti Lehikonen doing it a good few years ago. Was on a freecaster broadcast - literally hucked it from the top, and nearly flat landed it... was one of the most insane things I've ever seen in a race.

I have a lot of respect for Bruni, the kid's a cool cat with a level head on his shoulders... funny to boot.

****** formula c1s seemed to bork at the most inopportune moment yesterday.

I was flying down a steep bouldery jeep track I know and started to try and haul anchor because I saw the metal cattle gate halfway down was closed. I had ages of space to stop but the brakes just seemed to not work: the levers were touching the bars and the wheels weren't locked up.

I ended up body slamming the gate really hard. The bike looks to be ok because the front wheel hit and then my neck and shoulder were the next bits to hit.

The brakes afterwards were fine but I am mightily ****ed that 15 yr old Hayes brakes can stop me on that track but brand new formulas flaked out after a month.

Scary, did the brakes fade due to overheating ?

That Manon.

 She's probably 12, but I love watching her ride.

Glad I'm not the only one to check this....

Sorry.... :o*

* may technically not be sorry, at all.

Yep, I happened to be doing some research on youtube last night and came across a video of that photoshoot.
