Sorry , I didn't ask my question all too well. I get that there's more forces on the axle, but I wanted to refer to 15mm being singled out. 15mm is plenty strong, with 9mm qr noodles, there could be issues with 203 rotors

I didnt say anything about different solid axle formats, just the reasons why quick release might have problems with larger rotors.
I think milko is right though: we're all agreeing that solid axles can handle the braking forces better than QRs.
