Mountain Biking

My Aeris already has scratches in it, where I missed points with the tape.

I've decided to just not be bothered about it. Also riding in 30c heat is awful.

Scratches don't bother me, cracks do.. Its warranty anyway so no dramas. Dropping it off next week for swing arm and fork warranty job so all good :D

Weather looks ok for tomorrow! Only ever been forest of dean when its been raining non stop for a month and not stop raining all day on the day.

The 2 drops on GBU, has anyone first hand experience of them?

Shame about my pox, as I'd have joined you.

Yea, easy as **** drops, but they look intimidating, as you can't see the landing on approach. Second is easier than the first I guess, as you have a little bit more run in for it (not that you need speed mind, just so you can stand ready)

The Trek failed on me big time today, rolling down the blue run at BPW on the way home from a loop from various other mountains, my shock bolt decided to snap destroying the shock and frame in the process. It looks as if its cracked the frame where the seat and downtube meet, its dented to hell and back and obviously the shock is toast lol. Oh well.. :/

The shop I bought it from are going to contact Trek on Monday hopefully. I'm away on Wednesday for 10 days so hopefully I'll have a bike when I come back if not there's gonna be a problem because I was without the bike for 6 weeks last year when the shock failed on the third ride!

Steve - chainstays are common on treks as my friends done one as well. However what has happend to mine is a first in the shop where I took it

Nonsense mate! time for an upgrade i think, this should hold up a bit better!
