Moving back to intel, advice requested

The 24 pin ATX cable on ocuk has a different part number than on Corsairs website though.

OCUK have Corsair part number CP-8920057

Corsair website has - CP-8920073

Might just be worth using the power supply 24 pin cable rather than the aftermarket one until you find out.

Yeah the 24 pin part is completely different. It's not compatible with this motherboard. I think I'll be fine with what I have anyway. It alternates from red to black throughout, which looks rather nifty :D The 780ti is black too and when I stick the red creative card under it, it'll balance out again, so that's nice :)

I'm going to spoil it a bit by sticking to the PSUs proper black cabling for the 780ti as I don't want to kill it :D

Nearly done. It'll wait until tomorrow now as I'm knackered and I've got a lot of stuff to back up :)

I've just stumbled across someone else that discovered the same thing, and they've also confirmed the cables work fine with this PSU, apart from the 24v one, so all seems well. Still backing things up, hopefully will have a working PC in a bit.

Woo hoo! Installing windows 7 ultimate.

I've not installed the white led strip yet as I still haven't worked out where to place it. The single problem is that I bought 2 140 fans when I needed 3. Sod's law, the one standard case fan left is so noisy! Another purchase tomorrow and this PC will be almost silent. I'm sitting here with the case side off and it's barely audible!

It's all up and running now, so thanks to everyone that chipped in to the thread :)

I didn't realise just how many Windows updates had come out since SP1. Jesus, it took HOURS yesterday installing those, then the Office updates (must have been well over 400 updates all told). Annoyingly I have access to Office 2013 for £8 via work (not a typo) but I forwarded an email to a work colleague that has accidentally just ordered through my email, not the site, which used my staff number, so I had to install Office 2010 :(

Anway, I'm now back up to speed, all updates done, all drivers updated. Firmware on bluray drive updated, along with other bits. Still not installed the white LED strip as I've been trying to tidy the mess I made when building this :D

I've installed BF4 and Ass Creed 4 so I can momentarily see what this card can do :)
