I wouldnt cheat at any of the games that I love and play all the time. However, something like OP Flash 2, I probably would. Its such an abortion of a game that an aimbot is surely the only thing that would make it any fun (not that ive tried one before).

Thats too easy (conceptually) and unrealistic imo. Theres probably a sub-community with L4d that is entirely cheater driven that you never become aware of with their own goals and objectives. Yes... it is a clear case of cheating or not cheating. There is no middle ground to cheating, it IS Black or White. End of story. Cheating a little to give you the edge doesn't make you any better than the cheater who headshot spams everything. Not being sure if someone is cheating or not doesn't make a difference, even if you can't prove it, they're either cheating or they aren't, there is no middle ground.

Your trying to argue theres a whole grey area with cheating. Cheating is black or white, you are or you aren't. Detection is an entirely different thing altogether, at the end of the day your still either cheating or your not. Being **** and cheating with a crappy public hack or being awesome and cheating with a paid multihack, it makes difference, your still cheating.

@ someone on the last page... people who abuse custom skins or modify game files to remove things are still cheating and just as bad as someone who wallhacks. If you don't see it that way i feel sorry for you being so morally retarded.

Been accused of hacking far too many times and banned off a lot of servers on CSS, though it seems that if your a lot better than themselves in CSS you must be cheating

I stopped playing MOHAA MP purely because of cheaters. Hell, I even played the game without forcing skins. Scum of the earth deserve to die of aids, be brought back to life, given aids again, given a cure to aids which will have been discovered by then, then run over by a bus whilst walking out of the aids curing clinic, driven by a bus driver whose mind had wandered as he was thinking about how he used to wallbot and aimhack in Mohaa. The bus driver then also contracts aids of the face and dies, because it turns out the cure for aids wasn't actually as successful as was first made out to people who had aids.

I hate it when people accuse you of hacking just because you beat them. Back when I played cs1.6 I even got booted out of a clan. Me and some fellow clan members were in a server and I happened to have a good run on a couple of maps. What made me laff was that it was a public server - honestly! Some people just cant hack it when you're better than they are.

Unfortunately the ones who use multihacks probably don't see it that way. They enjoy being better than everyone else while seeming legit so people praise them or something. Giving that little edge won't take the fun away as much as headshotting everything.

I was kicked/banned from my clan on CoD MW for hacking, hehe. If they'd admitted the reason they banned me was for being a tool then fair enough, i deserved that because in all honesty, i was. But instead they decided that because i was the best in the clan and how many people had accused me of hacking (because i was better, not because i was) then they'd spec me for a bit and the moment i did something that was beyond there skill level, they banned me.

Both sad an hilarious at the same time. They decided that because i was shooting at someone through a wall (note i had an AK with Deep Impact... kinda the point) when i couldn't of known he was there (i saw him firing un-silenced on radar and he was backing off into a common camping spot) that i must be hacking. I didn't even kill him, just hit him once, since i had no idea where he was. Some people just don't get it.

I think I see Surfer's argument a little bit. They're are things you can change in game via console, settings etc, which can be classed as giving you an edge? But its not classed as cheating? But if it gives you and advantage over your opponent that doesnt use it, is it cheating?

Tweaking performance to improve your fps isn't cheating.
Using low settings because your computer can't handle higher ones isn't cheating.
Using low settings because the reduced graphics makes some things easier (such as reduces the Boomer Biles blind effect) is cheating.
Abusing legit console commands to create things like third person view so you can see round corners is cheating.
Using custom skins because you like the look isn't cheating.
Using custom skins because they let you see them better in dark areas is cheating.
Using scripts to change things like volume isn't cheating.
Using scripts to give you inhuman abilities like rapid fire pistols, perfect 360 melee, etc, etc, is cheating.

There is no grey area. Either you are cheating or you aren't. If your doing something intentionally to give yourself an edge over everyone else, even if its using legitimate game functions, its cheating. If Valve wanted instant reload shotguns in game, they'd put it in the game as an option. The simple fact of the matter is its impossible to stop them being used in this way without punishing everyone who uses them legitimately.

You seem to think that i think all the above are not cheating.....when i havent said that at all........... most folk agree on what cheating is and that it is wrong so no idea why you are beating that dead horse...so bad :confused:

Everyone of my posts are not concerned with whether cheating is right or wrong or what is considered cheating - thats the easy questions imo. (which is why you get most ppl agreeing on it)

All that being the case - its utterly meaningless if we cannot identify a player cheating. This part you have skipped over for some reason....

You act as if cheaters are abominations that appear from time to time and are banned and bliss returns to the server. It is that conception of what cheaters are that i disagree with.

lol, dont quite know what to say to that. If anyone can do it, without downloading a 3rd party program, it is definately not a cheat. Console commands are not cheating, they are available for everyone to use and if you dont know about them its your own fault. Im guessing you think things such as "Bunny hopping" are for noobs too.
