Mr Olympia 2006

I love bodybuilding and as much as i understand the dedication and hard graft these pro's put into their workouts and diet, i have little respect for steroid junkies :(

Frank Zane is the only Olympia winner i could look to for inspiration.

They aren't just steroid junkines, they're also very dehydrated and very ugly.

I think so too. I bet the liver damage these guys have aint very pretty either ;)

as much as an amazing achievement it is for Jay to finally win, its a shame to see Ronnie step down this year.
Hes been an excellent champ and think he will be back pushing for the title next year :]

edit: just looked at some pics, it must have been a close decision between the 2, ronnie is looking monsterous and ripped to hell again

It was a fantastic year for the Mr Olympia. Jay deserved to win and did a fantastic job and hit his conditioning and peaked just at the right time.

Also, Ronnie Coleman has under-development of his left side with obvious lat and tricep tears. Which is a shame.

thats a good pic, have only seen the ones on flexonline in which you couldnt see that much detail.

thats a shocking under development tho, i wonder if it was more some fibres not tensing properly, i cant imagine that ronnie would have allowed that to happen!
however, it does show what awesome condition he is in to still come 2nd

It's a shame that it happened. But still hats off to Jay it's been coming for him for a long time and he's a genuine nice guy.

Browsing many Pro Bodybuilding forums it's basically generally accepted that it's a tear of the muscle. I haven't got any other pictures that show it well enough but he also has a tear in his tricep which has prevented the complete development of this as well.

I'd be interested to hear what Coleman would have to say in his press conference because he will no doubt be questioned about this at some point. I've never seen Coleman like that before and it just makes me wonder what went wrong?

It's a substantial tear which surely must have sidelined development off the lats from some time. Lucky for Ronnie he is a monster anyway.

That series of pictures actually made me feel a little queasy and not much does that. :/
Yeah me too, and me too. It just looks awful and I can't see why anyone would want to look like that. Mental.

Takes all sorts :)

I wonder if ronnie will be able to come back from this and take the title for a record ninth time now, hes not young anymore and i cant see Jay going easy because hes finally won it, hes going to want to hold it for a few more years.
