MSI Afterburner Graphics Card Performance Booster

looks like a nifty bit of software!

Will look at testing it on a POV GTX280 tonight :)

Crysis warhead 15 minute run, Frost map,
1920x1200 4xaa16af 99% both Gpus @ 1020mhz core 1200mhz memory Xfire

.......

Just messing about lol but when i did play it was utterly butterly :D
and it was stable aswell and thats with only 1.35v compaired to the asus card that got it at 1.4v not to mention i have 2 5870s not 1 so thats pritty awsome imho.

Just tried 1.2v, 5870@900/1250

Vantage extreme GPU score went from 8004 to 8519, no idea if it's stable :D

I can't work out if Asus reckon all of their 5870 will hit 1035/1300 with their smartdoctor utility or if that is best case scenario.

I set my 5870 to 900/1300.. Stable no voltage change or fan change.. It was stable at 40% fan speed.. I'm hoping to get 1000/1400

If the 5850 can clock to same as 5870 without a voltage increase, id be happy with just that overclock. (Obviously the more the better, ha)

Does anyone know what the safe volts are for all the cards? is there a list somewhere? I'd love to try it on my GTX260... Been overclocking with Rivatuner for years.

awesome. Too bad my vapor-x 4890 doesn't have software voltage control AarrgGGgGH

Quoted for truth :(

My Sapphire 4870 512mb doesn't have voltage control either, which is down to the 'non reference' board design. Is yours caused by this? (I realise you have a 4890 ;))

Yup, uses the same up6206ak vrm controller as the non-reference 4870...which can't be pencil or softmodded, only hardmod which I don't want to do as it tends to affect the resale value.

And there you were the other day trying to convince me that 4870 could be volt modded in software/bios when I was saying I couldn't when I owned mine. ;)
