What's the best way to stress test a GPU to make sure it's a stable OC?
Just tried 1.2v, 5870@900/1250
Vantage extreme GPU score went from 8004 to 8519, no idea if it's stable
I can't work out if Asus reckon all of their 5870 will hit 1035/1300 with their smartdoctor utility or if that is best case scenario.
Mine's gone whack and will no longer change the clocks..

Mine's gone whack and will no longer change the clocks..
define "It's gone whack" ?
awesome. Too bad my vapor-x 4890 doesn't have software voltage control AarrgGGgGH
Quoted for truth
My Sapphire 4870 512mb doesn't have voltage control either, which is down to the 'non reference' board design. Is yours caused by this? (I realise you have a 4890)
Yup, uses the same up6206ak vrm controller as the non-reference 4870...which can't be pencil or softmodded, only hardmod which I don't want to do as it tends to affect the resale value.
