I found a bigger increase in performance going from 2x16gb to 4x8gb than I did from any jump in ram/IF speed.
It was only some quick back to backs in Timespy CPU, as my motivation to change wasn't really performance but I was curious nonetheless.
I've since settled on 3800/1900 CL18 as there were lots of WHEA errors at 4000/2000 and I was getting occasional memtest errors at CL16
Which 2x16GB sticks did you have? Single or dual rank?
I could definitely achieve 3800/1900 with the old AGESA, so I think it's reasonable to hope for more if 1.2 does eventually get released. If the 5000 series uses the same IMC which they say it does I think 4000/2000 is going to be unicorn territory.
Not many chips will achieve it.
Probably what they have done with the 5000 series is make it more common for 3800/1900 speeds to be achieved compared to the 3000 series.

BTW nice quote on your sig Ex navy or a fan of history?
Hey, John Wick is a damn masterpiece IMHO.Ha! Nah nothing as sexy as that. It's from John Wick.
Has anyone else seen a decrease in performance when going to 1.2?
It’s only small, around 1-2% but quite consistent across all benchmarks.
Annoyingly, while it’s made 4000/2000 more stable, I still get some WHEA errors.
I started on 1.2 so can't compare however aside from CPU-Z, my benches have been a bit below average. Are you getting the expected performance from 4000/2000 all be it with the errors you're getting? My performance tanked at when I set mine to that...Has anyone else seen a decrease in performance when going to 1.2?

Dunno, i don't update the BIOS unless its actually necessary, i'm still on 1.1.0.0, i see no reason to update, not until i get a new GPU.
