MSI MPG x870e Carbon WiFi Owners

Is there an issue with the 4090 and this board?

In the BIOS i get some screen rendering issues with my ASUS TUF 4090 using display port to my screen, using the onboard via HDMI its fine.

My 4090 has never had these issues with 2x Asus and 2x MSI Intel based boards though.

I have this board arriving this week. I've a 7800x3d now but will eventually switch to a 9800x3d.

What memory kits are people running?

32gb or 64gb. Thank you.

Trident Z5 Neo RGB - 6000 - CAS 30. 2x32Gb. Running EXPO and no issues so far, don't plan to overclock so went with the recommended.

I'm currently using Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB
30-36-36-74
Part No is CMP64GX5M2B6000Z30

No issues at all with it so far :)

Just a heads up, MSI support have provided me with a link to an un-published BETA BIOS,
Just testing it now to see if its fixed my mouse/kb issues and also the graphical issues :)

Will share the link in a bit once tested if any good.

New question, didn't notice this before,
After enabling PBO does Game Boost get enabled automatically?
In this BIOS it states enabled by PBO.

Thank you. That's what I've gone for. ETA early Jan, nobody seems to have stock.

Can there be issue with Dual Rank vs. Single Rank RAM? Is single "better / faster" or is there no diff now?

Dual is actually better and faster from what I remember and the CMP64GX5M2B6000Z30 kit is dual rank.

I could well be wrong, a lot more knowledgeable peeps on here than me on RAM :D

Just to add, the above kit is on the MSI approved list for the mobo.

I enabled PBO with the settings posted in here previously and it didn't automatically enable Game Boost for me. It's still set to off on the Home Screen.

Have you checked to see if PBO is still enabled on manual, and not set to Auto now? As soon as i turned off Game Boost, it set PBO to auto removing the settings id also applied that were posted in here.

Yeah I've just rebooted to have a quick look. Gameboost off, PBO still on. So I'm guessing that's been changed with the newer beta BIOS you're using.

Yeah certainly looks that way.
If i turn off game boost it reverts my PBO settings. If I go and set them as per here, it then re-enables game boost.

Hi all, I am having an issue with this board. Often, when my system wakes from sleep I get a crash (blue screen). This only happens when the Wi-Fi is enabled in the BIOS though. Also, sometimes when I boot into windows the wifi adapter does not show in device manager even though it's enabled, other times it does show and then disappears. I suspect there is an issue here. I am running the latest BIOS and drivers and I have both power connectors hooked up. If I disable wifi in BIOS I have no issues. Has anyone else noticed this issue?

UPDATE: Seems to be a known issue: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/no-wi-fi-mpg-x870e-carbon-wifi.404670/

Would be interested to hear if anyone else if having this problem.
