MSI P67A GD65

Im going to Be RMAing my board in April when we can get replacements and i think im going to spend the money on this one instead.. I have a P8P67 and its an OK board but i regret getting a vanilla.

Yeah. Its nice having the option of sli in the future. My P8P67 died so I was forced to replace it.

Pretty nice board, arrived on Friday, built up no problems hit the OC button and hey presto instant 4.3 lazy overclocking, with the H50 cooling ontop i am pretty sure i could get 5ghz maybe, just need to read up a little.

Looked like my little boy has been pressing buttons again.
unpluged the system and wattage meter (clear memory) last night and checked it this morning.

That's more like it - sorry for any confusion - my bad :o

Just installed my energy meter and getting slightly higher power consumption but i've got a manual vcore of 1.32v so expected really.

Cooool

What overclock can I expect with this mobo and 2500K on box cooler?

Will it handle at least 4.2ghz at decent temps?

From what I've seen it will handle whatever your chip is capable of. The temps depend on how good your chip is the overclock, case cooling, ambient temp and your cpu cooler but I've not heard of any problems in this respect.

Reason i didnt mention that one is i dont have a login for msi.

Im trying the official 1.9 BIOS at the minute, i still struggle to go above 4.5 while still maintaining acceptable voltages.
