MSI to offer 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

That's all I wanted to hear, cheers!

I think all I wanted to hear was "yours is in the post" ;-)

But seriously to get 3 emails confirming my orders (one of which was automated), to have the credit card charged (twice), and then to be left in limbo is a bit poor. I was actually quite looking forward to a call to feel that OC were doing their best and happy to apologise, now I'm not sure I feel that way.

I tried to get one of the GD80s in the 14:00 window and was offered the GD65 instead but mine's still waiting in the warehouse queue - any idea when it's going to be shipped? I thought the 65s were all in stock. If so, i'm not that happy to have paid £10.35 for next day shipping on something that's taken 2 days to be processed.

Order number: OC875320

I almost hope that's a wind up because your order number is massively after mine and I didn't get the GD65 offer (or any other).

No wind up - i have a feeling the order numbers aren't the way they've been allocated though. I added mine to my cart at 14:00 exactly and then had a seemingly neverending series of failures from the payment engine (kept spitting out some kind of error and asking me to retry). In the end my order actually went through at 14:16 I think which was doubly annoying since i'm fairly sure i'd have been in the first batch if there hadn't been payment issues.

Very lucky then... my order went through much earlier than that (1407 i think), and I added it to the cart at 1400 and went straight through to the checkout from there.

Well it's all built, windows booted up but I'm going to do a fresh install anyway. Then going to see what it can do on stock volts, stock cooling though but it's only as a temporary measure

Looking forward to seeing what you can do...have you decided on a cooler yet? I'm torn between the Zalman Quiet or the Arctic Extreme...can't decide if the Zalman is worth the extra £20, considering I don't tend to go absolutely nuts on my clock!

Will be interested to see how you go at stock.
