MSI to offer 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

Sounds like the bulk of the GD65 are in Monday.

Remember all you that ordered the GD65 are Guaranteed a board for the price paid.
Yes, this is true (and for that I am v happy :D)

God bless OcUK forums though, cos without the forums I would still be wondering why my £9 p&p ex VAT for next day delivery hasn't worked. (I have recieved no e-mail correspondance from OcUK explaining the hold up)

Along those lines (fully understanding the pressures that the OcUK staff are under), whats the deal with selecting next day delivery and it taking (if the boards do come in on Monday) a week to get to me?
I assume the next day delivery is NOt guaranteed?
(If it is...can I have my pre-order Windows 7 tomorrow please? :p )

Although I only have 1x long crossfire and 1 x long SLI bridges, do others have both long and short? (4 bridges) I only have 2

Mine was meant to come today and accordin to dpd trackin it was attempted and they left a calling card through the white door... My house has a brown door lol. Last time they got lost too and needed to call for directions so maybe just gone the wrong house again... Bit annoying. Only post people able to find my house seem to be royal mail, every1 else gets lost haha. Will somehow need to sort out another delivery date now

I have my P55-GD80 not brought from OCuk, looks like a very nice board

I still not made up my mind if I will keep the board, as it was a impulse buy.

As I just upgrade my E8500 to Q9950 (running at 3.63Ghz), happy with the extra performance from my new quad, system stable with low temps and volts.

The problem I see that the i7 860 processor are over price at present, with the 8GB DDR3 memory I would like to buy is still too costly and I have to buy a new cooler or bracket as well.

All this extra cost for small performance increase, could save the money for the new ATI card.

I may be better off sell it on MM.

i7 860 needs to drop by about 15-20 quid or at least to the same price level as the i7 920, Intel pricing is the same for both chips.

Just bear in mind that if you do, you can't be seen to be making a profit on it. Plus, everyone on here now knows you got it for £85, so probably better on the 'bay?

Thanks, still thinking about selling it, depends on me selling my Q9950 for a decent price.

But I would sell the board for the same price I paid for it, to keep in the spirit of things, as plenty of people missed out on the offer. But it would have to be collected.
