MSI to offer 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

Why - when there are clearly still people waiting for boards - where they ever shown as 'in stock' on the website. Any and all incoming stock should have been allocated to customers still waiting for boards. Why were we told they would all be sorted by Tuesday. Why were we told we would get our boards 'shortly' - yet 8 days later, still not have them.

There are many many questions that need answering before I would consider using OcUK again. Just done the maths - I've spent £6434 at OcUK between home and work in the past couple of years. Not a big customer by any stretch of the imagination, but I have been fairly loyal. Seems a pity that they've dropped the ball on this one.

Meanwhile - day 8. Still in a warehouse queue. The CPU cooler I ordered with the board...is now out of stock. The RAM I have ordered with the board, is also now out of stock. If it doesn't all dispatch today - I'm going to cancel and go elsewhere.

i have made a post in the customer services board asking for some form of update.

My initial post in that forum was to cancel a duplicate order and it took 5 days for a response to that so i wont hold my breath for a quick reply!

Talk about itchy fingers here!!

I've phoned, changed the items on my order (dropping the MSI), and hope to have a dispatch today. Kudos to whoever was on the phone for being helpful and friendly, but after this episode sadly, neither MSI nor OcUK will be seeing my custom in the future.

I now have all my new build sitting at home waiting for the order with my GD80 and Ripjaw RAM to arrive :( my last response for an update yesterday was "The MSI boards will be shipping shortly."

I hope it wont be too much longer im itching to get started building!

Fingers crossed it'll do the job :)

Having changed my Mobo - my order is now printed in the warehouse and will dispatch today. Kudos to those with more patience than I prepared to wait it out for a cheap Mobo!

If I wasn't off on holiday tomorrow I'd have cancelled already...as it was I'd pretty much resigned myself to not having a new PC before returning anyway, so I may as well wait a little longer!

Well i anceled my order today.
This after FINALLY getting the word that i was not one of those that would be getting a board. It took OCUK so long time, and the sad part is that they did NOT contact me in any way.
I asked via webnotes serveral times about my order if i would get one or not. A couple of their answers where just if i had received an email from the pruchase department regarding this. Well i did not get any kind of message, if i had not found this forum i i would not have knowwn anything about the problem about overselling.
AFter more tha a week of waiting and asking i finaly got the word i wasn´t going to get one (but one webnote answer statred that i would get one.) Because of that answe i did not want to order any other motherboard and end up with two in the end.
What a mess....

Sadly to say this was my first and last purchase attempt from this company.

It's been over 24 hours now since I posted in the Customer service section (at the request of an OCUK employee) and they still haven't had the courtesy to reply. I wasn't asking for a magical answer either.. Just an acknowledgement that I'd posted would have been nice.

Im still in the queue, last news i got was a reply to a web note yesterday saying;
"Thanks for the web note. We are expecting these boards shortly and they will be dispatched then. Regards, Linzi"

So Im still hopefull, but it shouldnt be up to us to chase up our orders. I can understand if the boards were oversold and i don't mind paying for next day delivery if the store is sold out and the boards are deliverd when they arrive. I also think the offer to ensure everyone who ordered a board received one was very generous (maybe too generous if people start to get their orders cancelled) But i think the lack of news or posts from the mods is concerning and i think things may start to go a bit sour.

Did you get given the option of a cheaper Gigabyte motherboard, as those whose orders didn't go through originally got?

Another major bone of contention is that they have taken peoples money already. They have had my £63 for 6 days now with not so much as a sniffle of an apology for the delays or any suggestion of when i can expect my order.

Money should be taken once the stock is in and dispatched for peoples orders IMO. Not for them to glean interest from, especially if they know there will be delays.
