The i5-750 falls behind whenever more than 4 threads are used by a program. That might be almost never, or quite often, depending on your personal usage model.
Beyond that, there's always the added clock speed and higher turbo modes that the i7-860 enjoys, both of which combine to make it the all around faster processor.
Personally, I feel like the i7-860 is worth a premium, but wouldn't think twice about using a i5-750 in a gaming rig for example, spending the 70~80 quid saved on a better graphics card.

I don't think that's the issue. I got my boards from two other suppliers and both boards came direct from a 3rd party warehouse so it may be that OcUK just processed the orders for MSI or that they are awaiting special 'promo' ie. dented box stock. Most of the ones shipped to people on other forums seem to be the subject of much complaining about damaged boxes. Both of mine were certainly 'imperfect' but the contents were fine. Certainly it would make sense if you wnated to dent ebay sales...
I shouldn't have to go begging to get some honest up to date information about an order.
The last formal word from OcUK was that I would have it 'shortly'.
That was 6 days ago.
Stock is now showing as out of stock, again. And still nothing other than being in a queue.

Yes i agree an update would be nice but perhaps they are busy sorting things out for us.
But if you had an email saying you have been allocated one does it matter if its a few days late ? at least you have one.

I ordered a GD80 in the 1st batch, received an order confirmed email and the next day I got an email from their purchasing team congratulating me on being successful
I emailed last night (1st email) asking for an update as my order was still sat in the warehouse queue and today I received a reply saying I wasnt getting one.
IMHO, thats wrong. I was told specifically that I WAS getting one and Im also not impressed at the lack of comms. I had to make the first move. When would OCUK have got in touch either way?

I have the same problem as you. I ordered in the second batch. I have received one response from webnotes that i am getting one shortly, and one that says im not getting any. My credit card is debited, it has been 7 days, and I still don´t know anything. I have written in the Customer service forum but the sam there, no answers yet.
I want to know if im getting one or not, Should i order another motherboard or not? I am sitting on everything but the motherboard.
