MSI to offer 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

From personal experience the Intels are generally quicker than the AMD CPUs, but the AMD systems always feel faster, snappier. They just seem nicer to use.

Im not sure I understand, are you trying to say the Intels beat out the AMDs in benchmarks and so on, but in real life use, the AMD ones feel snappier?

I find this too, I used to have a X2 6400+ both my intel quad cores are defo faster (duh) but they don't feel smooth, and my computer has *mini fits* I think I should say min crashes than it comes back, i never had that with AMD

Good move coming from MSI imo.

Limited stock but extremely attactive prices.

This would be a good excuse for any general users who doesn't care about performce; or is currently using a very old system, to upgrade or getting themselves on the latest technology ladder.

Other major brands might have to rethink their strategy to counter their loses.. good news for both the enthusiasts and general users who is looking for upgrades.

I can only see win win for the consumers here :)

Think im going the whole lot depends if the price of the i5 will seduce me, im now without my own pc so i can imagine me purchasing i5 aswell

Not really, get the board cheap, then see how the various CPUs perform, and hopefully they'll go down slightly in price as well after a while.

Whilst that's probably the sensible option to take, there's no way I could have a brand new mainboard sitting there staring at me, begging to be used :D

What time will these be available to order from OcUK? Midnight tonight? 9am tomorrow?

Ive just phoned the sale department and apparently theres a NDA on the whole thing so she couldnt tell me :(

gotta just get up early i spose :)
