so if i aint bothered about the colour is there any real reason to get a wind instead of its cheaper named brother?
id rather be told some advantages first if any (which i doubt) apart from it being free, this thing is pretty good with xp, ive got office installed which works perfectly, and the original HL flys, if its just an anti ms thing im not interested in the slightest, but if someone can say or prove its better than xp home sp3 that comes with it im open eard
Were you planning on installing a fresh copy of XP on there? The price is fantastic as you say for what is pretty much an identical machine... just need to get rid of the bloatware that is inevitably going to be pre-installed
You lucky so and so![]()
The 4211 seems very popular.
Is it pretty much apples and Pears between this and the Asus Eee PC 1000 or is there a reason why the 4211 is popular in this thread.
For me it was availability of the 4211 and price. Very similar spec in crucial areas yet quite a bit cheaper. Think the only thing the 4211 lacks is N spec wireless.
Battery life on 4211 is not great though but I understand a higher capacity battery will be available.
