MSI's X570 Tomahawk May Become Go-To OC Board??

Just built a my new system with a 5600x and x570 Tomahawk. All seems good so far except for my Internet speed. I'm on virgin and normally download at 45mb/s + but since having this setup I'm only getting 8mb/s max. Speed test is showing my connection as around 70mb where as before it would be 380mb. My phone on speedtet is getting 330mb + so I don't think they issuen is With virgin.

I've installed latest amd chipset drivers and ethernet driver for the board from msi's site.

Any thought's?

I remember reading that someone found the MSI software did something to mess up Ethernet performance... Do some searching, this has been reported.

first AMD build in awhile (5800X)...I have the MSI X570 Tomahawk board and I need to use that BIOS Flash button to install the BIOS...is the latest 151 beta BIOS safe or should I go for the one before that (v14) which was a non-beta BIOS?

is MSI Dragon Center what I should be using to monitor my temps/voltages etc?...anything else AMD specific I need to install besides the AMD Chipset drivers?

I'm using the 151 bios & not had any ussues with it. Still needs to mature, but it seems stable.
Personally I don't use the Dragon Centre as I found it rather bloaty & didn't offer anything other programs do.

For temp monitoring I use HWinfo & core temp.

good to hear...I guess I'll go ahead and install that beta BIOS...for temp monitoring can I use the Ryzen Master software for that?

so the onboard audio for this board uses the Realtek ALC1200 codec...but I can't find drivers for this anywhere on the Realtek website...anyone have a link?...or is it best to just get these from the MSI support site?...does Windows Update provide these drivers as well?...I always prefer to get drivers directly from the manufacturer website but the Realtek site is a mess to navigate...even finding the network adapter drivers on there was difficult

I was looking in to getting an AMD cpu and this motherboard.

But why does the AMD version only have 1 lan port
And the Intel version has 2, one of which is 2.5GB lan?

I see a lot of AMD boards cheap out.

Anyone running an NH-D15 with this board (and preferably one of the FE 3000 series gpu?), if so how tight is the clearance between the top of the GPU backplate and the bottom of the CPU heatsink? I just need to order a cooler for my new build (5900X, X570 Tomahawk, 3060 Ti FE) but not sure if I'd be OK with the NH-D15 or better with the NH-D15S which has 1 less fan but is supposed to be offset a bit to give the GPU more clearance

if there are any clearance issues you can always raise the 2nd fan a bit higher up (as long as your case is big enough)

Thanks, my concern though is with the actual metal part of the heatsink, it looks like with some mobo/gpu combinations it gets a bit close for comfort (img) not sure if that's the case with the tomahawk. I think the D15s is supposed to be offset towards the top of case away from the gpu

Should this board boot boot up without updating the bios with a 5900x? Its not even getting to the bios screen
Ive sorted this now, but, on my old MSi board I had 'command centre' which was an easy way to set fan curve's, see temps etc...is there a similar thing for this board?

I think it was the bios, it seems that if it doesn't like something there just isn't any video output, even if using the onboard HDMI...I was expecting it to at least boot into a default bios/state.

I used the flash bios button/usb on the back to flash the latest bios. It still didn't give me an output via the onboard HDMI but plugged in my gpu and it booted to the bios screen.

is there any performance difference between the 2 NVMe slots on this board?...the top one uses the CPU PCIe lanes so theoretically I'm assuming that's the best place to install it?...the bottom NVMe uses the X570 chipset...but the top slot seems like it would be hard to reach once you install a giant CPU cooler like the Noctua NH-D15...if I ever need to swap out my NVMe drive I don't want to have to remove the CPU cooler
