MSN messenger

Managed to get my hands on Digsby, but it's asking me for a Digsby username and thanks to the works firewall I can't get onto their site. Is it just your regular msn address?

Live Messenger 8.5 Final stripped and patched with mess.be with the colour scheme pre-changed to Black (The colour button is removed with the patch and there is no other place in options to change colours)

I disagree, Google has never stopped working unless I choose whether I want to install Chrome or not. The most I've ever seen is a dialog in the top right offering it; I've never had to opt out of anything to continue using Google search engine.

I don't have a big issue with MS' approach (it's free software afterall, and countless freeware does this), but to compare it Google is unwarranted.
 
I think part of the reason is security. It's only a smallish program so if they make a major update that may cover up a gaping security hole then demanding all MSN users update isn't that bad an idea.

only problem with that is that their making msn bigger and more complex all the time so thats adding more security holes
