Ah. Last one wasn't in IE9 I copied it into Chrome. This is from IE9 to IE9 as stulid has been trying.

Does the pop up box,

"Do you want to allow this webpage to access your clipboard?"
BLAH BLAH
"Allow access, don't allow."

Have anything to do with it?

hmmm... shouldn't. IE being IE, you can access the clipboard directly, where as firefox / opera won't allow you for security reasons.

So the code block is pasted into the clipboard data. But when you select and copy the clipboard data manually, it should just overwrite it. It's possible it's doing something wrong on your browser.

Disabled the clipboard part and see how it goes. Submitted the suggestion, but I can't commit the code as I am only a contributor.

Posts 73/74 are with the two options of ALLOW/DONT ALLOW in IE9

Are you copying from the textbox directly each time then?

Just to double-check have you tried clearing your clipboard first (copy something random into it just to make sure it is being overwritten when you copy the new BB-Code).

Don't know if it is related, but when copying something else (from a sticky note on my desktop) in IE it keeps the font. In Chrome it doesn't. Like this:

Reset IE9, cleared everything,

Nope, must be something else :(

IE seems to handle things quite differently on here. For instance, in Chrome if I preview a post, the message box remains the same. In IE it changes. Like this:

EDIT: To be clear, for you in IE9 it is all okay?

What happens if you copy/paste the generated BB-Code into notepad first, then copy/paste it from there back into the forums?

That should strip any oddness IE adds to the copied text.

edit: in the top-right of that picture you have the 'switch editor mode' button on, what happens if you turn that off?
