Multi GPU setups? Who has them, post what you got up.

Running crossfire 5850 on my setup, was using 4870x2 but this failed after 3 months.

I have 2 x 4890s and notice quite a difference due to gaming at high resolutions (2048x1152).

Example would be Arma 2 (maxed out, AA on low):

1 GPU = 30-45 FPS
2 GPU = 40-75 FPS

I see they sorted that game out when it comes to multi GPUs than...when it first came out it was a right ass

Currently running a couple of GTX 285's in SLi.

Want to upgrade, but I'm looking for a single GPU solution that will out perform my current setup by a fair margin.

Not really sure what my options are @ present.

Same situation, wanted to sell mine and get eyefinity, but then have to factor in the resolution and quality I like to play at which means I need like 2 x 5970s to run what I want.

I'm personally waiting for price drops, dual 4890s chew anything up these days... no need for upgrade. I'm guessing dual 285s do the same?

pair of 5870 sapphire vapor-x's for me
tbh im a bit dissapointed with myself that i was late getting my rig together, had i have got funds sooner i would have got 5870's that wer more OC'able.
if i up my cards from the 875/1250 stock my system crashes :( all this so sapphire can save a few pence on cheaper parts :/
although i play BC2 at around 100-170 fps i still feel cheated by sapphire that i cant squeeze more from their rev2 card

I run a 5970 & 5870 in crossfire. CPU is i& @ 4ghz.

I had to watercool my gpus because if you have to have them in pci-e slots next to each other then run hot...very hot.

With my cooling. A triple and double rad in same loop I get temps underload of about 40deg.

Performance wise its a must.. Amazing performance. An example is..

BC2 @ 1920 x 1200 single 5970 = about 140fps
BC2 @ 1920 x 1200 both cards = about 200fps

BC2 @ 5760 x 1200 single 5970 = about 60fps
BC2 @ 5760 x 1200 both cards = about 100fps

My recent gfx card journet has been 8800GT --> 4850 --> 4870 --> 5770 ---> Xfire 5770s

My machine now handles anything I throw at it in 1080p with AA on :D

Great scaling from 2xGPU to 3xGPU for BC2 with Eyefinity ...... superscalar in fact!

what settings are you running for those fps?

i'm getting about 40-60 in EF with 5970+5870, everything maxed apart from AA (using 2x)
