The GFX cards will be seperated by a PCIe slot when I move the kit into my new modded 700D :D

Ive got 2 = 9800GTX+ and 1 = 9600GT for physx. Can anybody advise an upgrade that can seriously give me a significant boost in performance ?

you would no doubt see a MASSIVE jump going from those 2 cards in SLI to a single 480

apparently you SLI config is circa the same speed as a GTX280/85 so would be a bigggg jump! circa 40% upwards i would say......please anyone correct me if I am wrong :)

so it would be big but not massive. ok thanks ;)

I might aswell wait till prices come down a bit.

I just fancied being able to absolutely max out Fall out 3.

(ahh sorry I misread your post)

If I were you, I'd wait till the next revision of cards come out. What you have is by no means slow.

Mine, specs in sig.

Awaiting a 10cm crossfire bridge to space them out and a bucket of watercooling/cooling parts from ocuk. They do 1000/1300 but the noise required in order to keep them nice and cool drives me round the bend.

What sort of temps and fan speeds are you guys getting with the 5870s that close while gaming? Would be nice to pick up another 5870, Metro 2033 is a beast!

Custom fan profile I use. It's pretty aggressive but it keeps the temps low and stops speed throttling due to heat in intensive apps/games.

The bottom one is fine, it's just the top hits 85c in no time, once overclocked that is.

I really don't want to think how 2 gtx480 behave with the same slot layout. :p

i generally play l4d2, metro2033, crysis, hl2, dirt2, nfs shift, red faction guerrilla, supcom/supcom2

never drop below 50fps in eyefinity with any game, although crysis drops with any form of AA

all other games are pretty much imune to AA addition :)

2* HD4890s

scores about 22k in 3D mark

I game at 1920x1080 with 4x AA with 16x AF
