I know a good few orthodox Jews, and despite their pretensions to holding their religion above all else, they are business men first and foremost

I don't see why a president's religion would make a difference.
Israel is interested in Israel's interests- no more, no less.
I asked about 30 UK military folks today (18-40yo) at work and just 3 had heard about it yet not none actively followed what was happening so your comment seems just about right for me.
Likewise, I talked to quite a few about this at work today (all military SNCO of varying capbadge). Not one person was even aware of it.
Quite interesting how little coverage it is getting.

Our news reporting in the UK is a strange one. It always amazes me the things that don’t get reported that probably should.
I bet Israel is worried Russia will fast track Irans nuclear program. They’re probably right too. It could quite easily kick off in a big way over there.

What can they do apart from have their friendly terrorists murder a few Israelis? They know Israel could literally flatten them if it wanted to.
And, as above, if they did the press would be in no rush to report it. Israel doesn't **** about when threatened.
It's all over Western media, I can't see how anyone is missing it.

I've often wondered how this works. Bomber blows himself up in the name of Islam expecting to 'wake up' in Paradise with 72 virgins at his beck and call. But he's just bombed Mosque and murdered scores of worshippers, so wouldn't that cancel the whole Paradise malarkey out?

Like Christianity there’s more than one group within Islam.
The bomber was a member of a local Taliban branch which has been leading an insurgency in Pakistan for the past 15 years. Most of the victims were police officers.
The Taliban are Sunni (as were the victims of the bombing) but their version of Sunni Islam is extremist, so they consider mainstream Sunnis to be infidels.
