Experts, spec me a drone!
Budget ~£75.
For dicking around indoors, but may go outside on occasions.
FPV would be nice, but not essential.
Beginner friendly.
A decent size, 6-8", not bumblebee size.
Full kit, i.e. everything I need in one box.
Any suggestions?
Noting that your budget went up to £200, I'd suggest you'll struggle to find something at £200 that's ideal for a beginner and dicking around indoors.
The ideal indoor models tend to be small, and light, the idea being partly that that means lower mass, so less damage (to quad, or whatever it hits) ... or pain, when it hits you.
As you increase size, you you increase weight, which means bigger heavier batteries to power bigger motors needed for bigger blades, and that can put a LOT more kinetic energy in the blades. The result then is much more damage if, or more correctly, when you hit something. Or someone.
As an absolute beginner, for indoors, you could do a lot worse than the Hubsan X4. Should be about £30-£40, including radio, and is a 4" (ish) primarily indoor toy that's actually a very good little intro quad and can be used outside providing wind is minimal. Put the rest of the budget aside towards a bigger, outdoor quad once you've grasped the basics.
If you want to go a bit more upmarket, consider Blade Inductrix. You either need the RTF (ready to fly) version if you want everything in the box, or BNF (bind and fly) which comes without radio, and then buy a separate (Spektrum) radio.
Buying a separate radio makes better long-term sense, provided you then carry on with other, larger models. But you do need to think carefully about which models you may want, as it may determine which brand, and model, of radio to buy. If unsure about buying more quads (or helis, planes, gliders etc) in the future, the RTF versions get you everything you need in the box, but the radio is pretty basic and not suitable for many other aircraft types.
From what you say, I'd suggest Hubsan X4 or Blade Inductrix RTF right now, and save the rest of your budget for a larger, outdoor model a bit later.
