Haha, pretty cool.
You'd need some massive motors though I'd have thought in the conventional quad sense, and God knows what he's using the power it

Cheers, so the Hubsan ones are no goodIf your after something simple to play about with, you cant really go wrong with micro quad, otherwise known as a Tiny Whoop (<50g).
A basic kit which includes the transmitter and FPV goggles (so you can see what the drones sees) will set you back about £150. Tiny Hawk Kit or BetaFPV 65 Kit will get you up and running. You can start out in "angle" mode which is a self stabilising mode and progress onto learning "acro" which is a fully manual mode (where you can do crazy flips and spins).
From there you can progress and upgrade as and when you feel the need for more speed. The current flavour of the month are cinedrones which are small quads with 2-3" props that can record 1080p 60fps video yet still remain relatively light <250g.
Thanks @MadMossy
On my Martian 220mm frame, would I notice much difference with the 5045 Cyclone props compared to my 4045 BullNose props?
Hi all,
I've dropped in and out of this thread a little but really I have little time to use my racing quad so looking to sell (please note this isn't an advert - otherwise it'd be in MM) just wondered where the best place to sell it would be? Also how can I work out what I should be asking for it?
It's one of the old radioc prebuilt RTF FPV drones - KC215 GT, got loads of spare props, 5 batteries (3 3S and 2 4S), FS-i6 remote and a lipo charger. Also got Fatshark goggles but obviously they're a bit easier to price given it's a manufactured product.
Think I paid about £500 for most of it (excl the fatsharks) but no idea of its relative value to new or how much kit has moved on? iirc this will do 80mph straight line on 4S batteries
Thanks,
Alex
Attitude V3's I think...£200 all in maybe? (excl the goggles) What Fatsharks are they?
The best place to sell is probably Facebook groups. There are plenty of them dedicated to drones and FPV (Drone Junkyard, FPV racing UK etc), plus those dedicated to RC and RC flight.
I'd say £200 is probably a bit high.
I'd say £100 max for the quad itself, maybe even as low as £50 depending what gear is in there.
The TX is probably £30, charger £15 maybe (it's not one I'm familiar with).
Lipos maybe £30 for the lot, but they're tricky to post as most couriers won't take them.
Props, whatever you can get.
Longer flight times I would imagine. I also went away from bullnose for HQ 5x4.3 v1's
Attitude V3's I think...
If you're able to share how I can be 100% sure though that'd be a bonus.
