Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

Can't say I've noticed the thick green line on my phone.

What did the pano look like straight from the drone? I've only had a quick mess around but the few landscapes I have tried look good to me.

I set it to shoot JPEG and RAW, but just looked at the individual RAW files. It didn't create a automatic JPEG pano (if it did, I've accidentally deleted it without looking at it).
This is the green line I see on my phone.

Terrible pic, but I'm not overly confident about flying too far from my cottage..

Despite living here for years, I'm amazed at the military precision of the laying down of seeds

Great pic.

Something it quite right about sending hundreds of pounds worth of drone off into the distance lol

The wheat on the left looks alright but whoever put the spuds in on the right needs sacking!!

And for comparison. Here are some shots from the Air 2S about 10 minutes later:

For anyone wondering that brighter spot on field near left edge, that's "heiligenschein".
It's very common in drone footage.

You might as well do the A2 as it's only £120 ish.
Do they give gold plated certificate or what to justify that price?
Here in Finland A2 exam costs €50.
Did mine two weeks ago (30/30 correct) to be able to fly Mavic 3 also in densely populated areas.
(latest firmware fixed slow GNSS)

What's the general consensus on the DJI RC then? I've read that it's not the brightest so unsure whether to go with the RCN1 Mini3 Pro combo and save myself £150 and use my phone or get a ipadMini to pair with it.

I'll sell the Mavic Pro most likely.
As you have Mavic Pro and have used DJI's original controller, RC-N1 would be big bulky disappointing featureless dumb brick with only two good things:
Superb battery life.
And far more easy to use and flexible phone holder taking moderate size phone even with thin edge protecting "case".

Everything else is garbage starting from phone position making it inbalanced in hand.
And in features/functions it's total cripple with less of them than in remotes of couple hundred costing cheap copy drones.
While even taking notably more space to carry.
And to think that they bundle such POS with Mavic 3...

Is anyone having any luck sourcing batteries for the Mavic Mini 3 Pro?
Should be getting mine shortly from Heliguy but literally all accessories seem to be sold out :)

Accessories much harder to come by than the drone. Still waiting for the filter set to come into stock for mine.

Its the UK, we are used to getting ripped off :P

I have notifications set up. Guess thats all I can do.
Still looking for a decent case for it as well
If you're just wanting a small protective case for just the Mini 3 Pro itself. I can recommend buying a Tesco's Chicken Chow Mein :D
The rectangular plastic box with a plastic lid (not the foil top) is the perfect size for the drone.
I can post before and after photos if you like

It flys fine, and when it takes pics, they turn out fine - but the shutter doesn't fire when I press it, takes anywhere between 5 - 300 seconds for it to register I took a pic, then eventually takes it at random, I'm assured it should be more or less instant.
I noticed a long delay this evening when taking photos. I started pressing the shutter twice just to make sure it had taken it. Before today I've not experienced any delays. Probably needs a firmware fix.

Vic VideopIC has posted a couple of reviews of the Mini 3 to YouTube. They are very interesting.
I trust Vic more than anyone about aerial photography and photography in general, and I have to say I agree with him.

Photo quality is close but not quite as good as my Air 2S. Video quality is not as good as my Air 2S.
Still a great little drone but won't be replacing my Air 2S when image quality is the most important thing to consider for a flight.
