Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

Limp Bizkit concert in Halifax video.
More photos and videos too at the above address, minus the "i-2cCWq7S/A".

(Sorry I can't seem to paste a viewable link in the forum).
Is it supposed to be 1 photo for 9 minutes?

Took this shot today

This probably won't display correctly on this forum (what's new).
Anyway, here a link to a 360 sphere over Old Trafford, Manchester, taken 2 days ago.

Hello

I have been flying rc planes for 25 + years

I fancy a drone for some videos and photos

What drones do I want to look at, if I want to dip my toes in, live in the Peak District so plenty of nice places to go and fly it to get some photos etc.

Budget. Not really sure. Certainly not a fortune

My other hobby is photography so it should maybe give me another angle.

Thanks

You really wouldn't do much better than the mni 3 pro at the moment, it's not restricted as much as the mavic pro being under 250g, it packs a lot in it's tiny size. there is a mini 4 pro coming soon, but the upgrades (to me at least) don't seem worth it, it will shoot 4k100 and has omnidirectional sensors and apparently you'll be able to set waypoints too, but that's all that's upgraded over the mini 3 pro.

I bought my first ever drone yesterday the Mini 3 Pro with RC controller saved a few quid aswell, was going to hold out for the Mini 4 Pro but that would have cost me a lot more in the long run.

Is there anything i need to do licence/test wise before i fly it with the drone being under 250g?

Hoping that this is the right place for questions like this?

I have ended up with a Zenmuse XT Thermal camera & gimbal. The trouble is that, I don't have any idea if it works and I don't have a drone (Matrice 100 I believe?)

Anyone here have any suggestions as to how I might go about checking that it works?
