Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

Looks like my fatshark VTX has been fixed by someone off another forum, excellent :) now I can use that in my 450 again and keep my Eachine in the 250.

Just ordered some new toys.

Armatten Morphite 180mm quad frame
4 x DYS BX1306 3100kV motors
HK Quattro 4 x 6A ESC all in one
4 x 4x4.5 props
Micro FPV vTx
2 x Turnigy Nano-tech 950mAh 3S

I've got a camera, Naze32, rx etc to stick on it. Should be a whole lot of fun with those crazy little motors.

Nice :) let us know progress ":) should have my 250 back up and running tomorrow.

Motor arrived so will finished adding the last motor and tie it up.

Be good to get back out with it

You'll love it! I built a 180 with the same motors (DYS SN20A ESCs though) on a prototype frame the other day. It's a blast, and really dinky! 250s are so 2014 :D

Next up, 150mm build!

Anyone got any tips for strenghtening or protecting where the 3 wires enter the motor surround at the bottom, particulaly on the emax 2300kv? I might put a dab of hot glue around it. Iv had issues in the past where it gets moved around it weakens, and eventually the wire breaks inside the motor.

Its already got some shrink wrap around the part where they enter the motors

All 4 motors now mounted to the 250 and tested. just cable tieing some wires, then look at finishing this off.

Also my fatshark VTX now back and working great, will be used on the 450. Going to hot glue the connector and use a pigtail.

Tried hot glue, it didnt really stick well, but should be ok for now.

Heres most of it back together. The frame may look a bit out of proportion on the bottom part of the frame in one pic, its because the screws are not done up fully underneath yet

Cant wait to get flying again

The frame costs around 23. Rest is just motors and escs fc etc. Will show you when I'm out if your still up for it? Should have the bixler sorted too soon

God damnit, it's always the small things that ruin the fun. Packing up my flight bag for an early one tomorrow and can't find my TX antenna. Last time I remember having it was when packing up from my last flying session, so I've probably left it in the grass

just watchout for shorts if you are screwing into carbon.

Its more glass fibre stuff, and I can put a small square of crossweave tape over the hole where I will be screwing it on to.

Damn it, didnt realise they were based abroad, will order from china from banggood then I guess and wait a little longer.
