Murco fuel

Erm

Yes, thats pretty much what I said I said  I admitted I said that to you, you've even quoted my admission

Yes, but you're still trying to argue about something you admit is an:

assumption

When you say:

I chopped it to save space, seroiusly, get a grip.
That would be fair enough if you'd chopped off some random unrelated comment about, I don't know, polar ice. However in this case what you actually chopped off, was the actual thing you were denying I'd said! See what I mean?

I know we have to agree to disagree, and I also (surprisingly?) like to have the last word... :p I just don't see how it's so hard to appreciate that one person's car may do better on some fuel than others. I wouldn't mind but you conceded this point ages ago - while continuing to argue about something that, in your own words, was an (incorrect) assumption. You even had to chop my quote in half to make the argument stick! :p

You may not agree, but you at least see why I was so frustrated? Trying to look at this from a bit of a distance, I can see how you misconstrued me. I really do, and I admitted such ages ago. Your prolonging of the argument was simply done by selectively quoting half a sentence, and it's THAT I took issue with.

Let's just call it quits and have a drink? I'll even buy them. I have a headache and needz vodka now. :p

So the only reason we have a 2 page argument is because of something you think I did on the 2nd page? :D

Ok :D

I said the prolonging of it not the argument itself. Let's have another two pages on this point. Now shut up and drink your ale. :D :p

serveral hundred pounds for a lamda sensor? they like £50 tops.

Don't be silly, maybe for a Fiesta they are but not for all cars:

Then you have to factor in labour which is around £100 per hour for a main dealer so even with a £50 sensor you're looking at nearly £200 inc VAT.

But it didn't really matter.
Tesco refunded the whole cost of part, labour and for the fuel you put in your tank in the first place.
If the whole fiasco had left people out of pocket then yes - moan.
But when a mistake is make, acknowledged and then paid for you can't really keep on going on about it.

the fact it was like one truck load out of thousands used a day too.

we had a few try and claim our fuel damaged there cars and they wanted to sue us, but they quickly shut up when we said we never had this fuel and could chase them for damages/false claim.

Sorry for interrupting the war of words, but im sure somebody said BP fuel was better than Sainsburys at some point, you realise that Sainsburys resell BP fuel yeah? its just cheaper than the average BP station because of their bulk buying power and the profiteering of the people who own stations with a BP franchise not because Sainsburys fuel sucks...

Do a Google for "Tesco diesel smoke" or similar, and you'll see that hundreds of other people say the exact same thing.

Do a search for "Sainsburys diesel smoke" and you also get hundreds of people making claims that are at best exaggerated. It's not exactly proof of anything other than peoples desire to have what they perceive as the "best" and to rubbish anything else.

its funny when you do that because the 4th result is OCUK... so shows how untrue it is...

Not really, OCUK is always in the top 5 on google if your searching for something containing the words posted in a recent thread. I.E if somebody asks "help me find info on XXXXXX-XXX" if you search for it on google that thread will be one of the top finds

Sainsburys will have their own requirements which could be a cheaper fuel
