Muse?

Cave is my favourite from Showbiz (Although only the live sound of it :\). Playing the slow guitar bit at the end is soooooooooooo satisfying.

Starlight is pretty poor I think, not keen at all. Assassin, Knights Of Cydonia, Exo-Politics, hell, every other song on the album is better. :)

Nah Assassin is exactly what it says on the tin for me, Ass.

Actually I think it's their worst track they've ever made.

Oh and should I noticed this lol

Was never able to really get into Muse at all, the sound just didnt strike me, they seemed almost over commercialistic. :/

Not that I like Greenday's recent stuff either, and I know thats popular.

I'd love to understand what you mean.

They most certainly aren't "commercialised" if that's what you mean. They've made songs so they they'll sell better yes but only because they also sound better :\

Try listening to some older stuff off Showbiz if you haven't already.

It's impossible to pick one or two "best" songs from any Muse album.

All their albums are simply awesome.

I demand you find Muse live and go and see them, best live act I have seen over the years, consistantly keep their awesomeness!

Wembley baby

3rd time, I WILL be at the front.

I just love dancing like a pillock to Plug In Baby at the place our group go to on a Thursday night, it's a just a massive sing-a-long, and then everyone gives each other a hug.

I can't think of a Muse song I don't like, it's not fair
Endlessly?

I'm a huge muse fan, but that is a terrible terrible song. Not even by muse standards, as in a below par effort, it IS still an AWEFUL song.

What were they thinking :/

Uno, Sobre, and Escape are weaker ones too, otherwise, awesome. Few bands have such a good track record. For songs to listen to once you have listened to the popular ones mentioned already, I'd go for Microcuts, Deadstar (Recorded version), 'Hate this and I'll love you' and Futurism (Even their B-sides can rock more than the album tracks. Bloody Japanese *huff*).

Now that's another good song, I also like Fury (which is the track added on to Absolution for Japan).

As for Escape, Sober and Uno, they're some of Muse's earliest songs, so don't knock them for it. :p

Their early stuff is also good:

Coma
Do We Need This
Eternally Missed (probably my fav from their early work)
Host
Instant Messenger
Jimmy Kane

And some B Sides:

The Groove
Fury
House Of The Rising Sun (Cover)

I don't really rate fury, it tries to be epic but fails somewhat and it remains undewhelming.

It doesn't really matter if they were some of their earliest songs or not, if anything they have had the most time to write them. I tend to find with most bands their first album is the best. I'm glad that bands like muse keep maturing and bringing out material which continues to impress.

Imagine them bringing out an average album next! :o

Sounds alrite to me :p.

Uno, Escape etc were on their first EP, so they've been around a while.

As for their best album (talking strictly studio), OOS is better than the rest, then probably BHR, Showbiz and then Absolution (I guess it's down to opinion, but I would say Absolution was average).

I can't really seeing it happen, but they have to stop at some point. Don't they?
It would be suprising, but its bound to happen. A listen through and suddenly 'meh', this isn't that good...

If they keep it up I think they are destined as music icons, few bands have albums that are so consistant. Even my favourite bands such as Pink Floyd and Radiohead have dissapointing moments, yet muse continue to please.

When they fall it will be a sad day...

Stumbled accross them on stage at a festival a couple of years ago. Stood transfixed, went home & bought everything they'd released. I wasn't disappointed :)

going to see them play live at the eden project was simply amazing!! really blew me away, i had uber high expectations for the gig, and it just took live music to another level in my view, i can only see this been topped when i go to see them play wembly stadium!!

Really, they dont have the label of one of the best live acts for no reason! Whenever i hear a muse song that was played at eden it just makes me feel that gig again, never had that effect from any other gig i have been too..
