Muse?

Muse kick a*s!

Hysteria is def a song to download, you will have heard feeling good, its on a lot of adverts.

New born and Bliss also kick ass. If your into the type of music that would suit the War of the Worlds film then you will love muse, i think they should have been the soundtrack to the film.

Enjoy.

Citizen Erased, Hysteria, Map of the Problematique, Dead Star... And I don't really like to recommend Knights of Cydonia, because I reckon they could have made it about a million times better than they did, but it's still a song you should listen to if you're curious about Muse...

I honestly don't.

For me it rounds up the stage conquering attitude that has been the body of their live acts since the release of Origin of Symmetry. The studio version is a bit tame, but get your hands on a live recording and it's on fire (Like nearly every Muse track actually).

Don't check this part of the forum much but saw this thread and thought I'd post.

Big Muse fan here (damn exams ruined me from seeing them in November but going Wembley <-- :D). Well worth giving them a try.

Also, has anybody noticed how many adverts/tv stuff have been using Muse tracks recently?

Yeah has been happening since Feeling Good came out, more so since Absolution though. Hollyoaks using them for the intro song etc.

My Picks: Sing for Absolution, Hysteria, Supermassive Blackhole, Starlight and Knights Of Sydonia (Full)

Really? What song do Hollyoaks use? I don't watch them. :)

Umm they've used Hysteria, Time is Running out and a few others I think. They use a different song every episode, when I used to watch it about a year ago I noticed it.

I really like the 1st album best, followed by Origin of Symmetry. The other's are overblown (purposefully i guess). Still better than most tripe at the moment though to be fair.

One of my favourite songs is an overlooked one... Filip, it's off of Showbiz. :)

They were good at Wembley Arena and Reading Festival in 2002 (i think it was then, bad memory)
Although the Wembley gig, too many new songs, but then again it was a tour in support of their new album, sooo.... :p

Just picked up the Hullabaloo soundtrack by Muse in the sales, can't believe i've never spotted this one before! What kind of a Muse fan am I?!? :o

Anyone got any opinions of this album? Is it up to the usual very high standard?

It's a live album on one disc (in France, location sucks i think personally) and the 2nd disc is b-sides etc.

It's pretty good, not amazing really. General studio stuff is better, and Muse have to be 'seen' live to be appreciated to the fullest extent i think personally.

:)

Remember what happened with the nescafe ad that used Feeling Good? Muse hadn't given permission, sued them, the ad was pulled and replaced by someone doing a horrific Bellamy impression :D Quite a good comeback from the Peddlers Of Evil...

Find a live recording? Seen ithem do it live 3 times now... Still doesn't totally work for me. Bit too simple for what it tries to be. Wee bit too repetitive too. Don't get me wrong, it's a good song, but I'm holding it up to Citizen Erased and it fails in comparison. Fairly lazy lyrically too.

But, on the other hand, I've never heard a noise quite like practically every person in the SECC bellowing out "No-one's going to take me alive"... Think they closed with it that night. So I recommend it, rather than getting into an obscurity contest, since it's attention-grabbing and pretty accessible.

Woah there. I've yet to find a single time they play a song worse live than they do in the studio. I don't really play any studio stuff in my playlist as it just doesn't seem Bellamy's style after seeing/hearing them live.
