Specifically the ones without the centre tunnel, and the door cards being off (I'm a small page noob!).
Always good to be able to visualise cable runs etc.. before pulling off trim going in search of cubby holes. Will be doing the same as you, iPod dock in the armrest. I'm deliberating amping my fronts, but for ease I think I'll hold off. The crappy standard speakers in the doors off the HU aren't that bad so I'm thinking Alpines should be sufficient without the need to amp.
Small job in comparison to the rest of things I need to do to the car anyway...!
Going back to your point before, the standard speakers suck, but i found that without an amp aftermarket ones sounded almost as bad, cable runs are easy i managed to fit a whole pioneer satnav system plus ipod, amp and compact sub into mine without too much effort.
Gonna wait for the suspension to (finally) be sorted out, and enjoy it for a bit up to summer, make sure it's all tip top, then advertise it probably.
I've had my fun with it, it's just a bit of an expensive occasional toy to be sitting around unused a lot of the time, could do with saving the money etc really.
Sounds about right tbh. Much as I love the car, I don't really have the inclination to spend loads more money on relatively insignificant improvements. I was thinking things like an exhaust, proper management, maybe a respray, but this will all cost a fortune, and is it really worth it?
Might as well let someone else who is after a well-sorted MX-5 have a go
Doesn't seem like that bad a price for a fun little pocket rocket
Really hankering to drive my mr2 now, weather is getting decent again now, think I'll get it back on the road next month. We never did compare how much quicker yours would be with a charger.
