What a good idea! I painted the cam cover on my MR2 but the lettering is raised rather than sunken, I used a brush and got a pretty good finish (no streaks!) but for sunken lettering that does sound very good.
I might do mine!
Looks great! I've got 11 days off and was gonna tidy my bay, but it's off for paint on Sat. Doh!
All 1.8 should have raised lettering on the cam cover.
I need to do my lines and fluid too. Might get it done with the MOT and coilover fitting though. Mine don't like like they've ever been touched in 16 years. I'm not patient with stuck bolts.

Might have changed things on the Mk2 but my 1.8 had sunk letters, you can just about make it out:

Howard, i see you have your car on stands on a stone drive - i asked if this was ok in another thread so interested to know how you get on?

Providing you have them on something solid to stop them sinking in if the ground is soft, there is no problem although I personally would lob the wheels under the car strategically and leave the jacks in place too.
There's a bit of crunching as the weight is loaded onto the jacks but they're solid as a rock really. I just have to use a bit of wood under the trolley jack, and the stones go everywhere when you're crawling around on the floor doing stuff

That's still heavy enough to do you some damage if it lands on you
I had a corner of a mini fall off of a stand once, that was hard enough to hold up whilst I got out of the way!

My Puma isnt much more weight 
I will make sure i put wheels under, ramps, jack and stands! But i imagine for most things like brakes etc i will raise 1 wheel at a time and not be under it.

Well after much deliberation I've finally bitten the bullet and put it up for sale. It just doesn't get a whole lot of use nowadays and with priorities shifting and the need to save more money, it's an expensive toy to sit on the driveway 5-6 days a week. It's been fun and it'll sure be painful to see it go
