My boss's M6...

318i with M3 badge ;).

Seriously though, terrible luck :(.

THe odds aren't really in your favour though if you're racing whilst possibly under the influence.

I reckon proper driver training should be given (around a track) when you buy powerful cars such as these.

Didn't TVR used to give you that when you bought a Tuscan S or Cerbera???...

Good Idea imho...

LOL!

You guys are going to love this!

Turns out he was racing with someone. Basically, the other driver (in a BMW) said "I can beat that piece of ****". The other driver lost control and smashed into the M6.

My boss spent the night in the cells, as it turns out he *might* have been drinking. I emphaise that word because I'm not 100% sure, but it's possible.

Morba, yeah, he's had a lot of powerful cars. Before the '6 he had a 645Ci.. and several other high powered BMW's before that.

But still, I feel for the guy, I really do. He's a nice, down to earth, friendly person but this isn't the first car he's written off. And no doubt he'll do it again.

I doubt I'll ever see that car again, so can't get pictures. So here's one on the day he bought it for good measure.

So it wasn't your bosses fault then, so the insurance won't care because it'll be on the other drivers insurance as he crashed in to the M6.

Hopefully it proves he wasn't over the drink drive limit but in my opinion one drink is too many when your driving.

To be honest I reckon it wont be long before insurance starts going right back up like in the 90's
Starts?

£2200 on a 2.0 8year old Mondeo was enough thanks.

I was just about to say lol, for some of us its already extortionate!
Mine is MUCH better with 1yrs NCB though.

Pass plus helps, I wouldnt of had my Mondeo without it.

brilliant, it's parked half in a disabled bay and half in a no parking zone!
Being the boss has it's perks.

Maybe he only has a right-leg and that's the real reason he crashed?

If he was over the limit then he can kiss goodbye to any insurance payout, whether it was his fault or not.

Nope, doesn't matter. He'll still get paid.

Last two times I've renewed I've been explicitly told that if I have an accident whilst I'm under the influence I get ziltch. (doens't bother me in the slightest, I don't touch the stuff when I'm driving). Suppose it must just be Elephant/Admiral.

You have to feel sorry for the other fellow too though.. He's about to get stung (insurance wise) to the tune of a new M6..

You dont have to answer - but have you been done for DD?

I've only ever seen that put on policies where there's been a history of DD.

:)

Never been done for anything mate (touches nearest wooden object) - that's why I assumed it was just a new thing that insurance companies were doing :)
