my clio engine

Did you tune the engine yourself mate? I would focus your skills on that. Drop it into a standard looking Clio and you'll have a traffic light sleeper...

yes built it all myself. and if i wanted a sleeper i would have built a sleeper.
 
Yeah, i've seen something similar with a civic. The guy just wanted something completely different so dropped a K20 engine into an ek i think and tried to make it look like a UFO (or so the right up joked)
 
Out of interest mate, how old are you? Feel free to tell me to mind my own, but your posts and extremely dubious taste suggest somebody in thier teens, but the obvious insurance costs would say otherwise.

Should be fun :)

Not a fan of the current looks, would look very cool just in white, lose the spoiler and keep the wider arches, and some grey/silver wheels :)

completly agreed would look cool in white with anthracite wheels.
the green just screams OMG LOOK AT ME I NEED ATTENTION OMG LOOK AT ME I AM COOLER THAN YOU!!! etc and makes everyone just think "*****"

Kind of make it look like a slightly beefed up standard model, in a weird way a bit like a clio v6 type of thing :p
 
power output does seem a tad high. I know Craig adam's, that had a white clio that was running T/B. fully modded head, with standard bottom end, was making 216 bhp N/A. from a megane F7R-710 engine. He then sold it on to martin, so I'll take it you seen that. Most i've seen proven on turbo is 280ish bhp. not saying your will make that, you find out once it run in. also what gearbox are you using. a JC5 ?. you just be popping the diff-circlip. if your planning on using that with a JB3 box, and driving it hard.

agreed kept popping on my standard r19 (but i was 18/19 and drove like i thought i was driving god) :P
right pain in the ass loosing all drive :(
 
Everyone seems to be missing the point here. Yeh it may not be to everyones taste but the amount of time and effort gone into it is what should really be judged.
 
Dont like the look of it but at least its a decent engine for once rather than a 1.2 as someone above already said.

Built to your personal preferences, glad you did that and not made something that every other person knocks out :)

Hope you enjoy it and cant wait to see the specs and vids!
 
I think it looks really cool. It clearly wasn't intended to be "subtly sporty" or anything like that, it was intended to look outrageous which it pulls off really well :).
