Got my new VTX 7970 installed, all running fine, just thought I would check the default clock settings in MSI afterburner, which should be Core Clock: 1050MHz.
MSI afterburner and GPUZ are both report Core Clock: 925MHz ?????

Run it under load and see what it boosts too.
It should be 1050 core and 1425 mem at stock. If not try powering off and flicking the bios switch to the other position as it could have a stock 7970 bios in one position and the VTX X-edition in the other like mine...
Thanks, tried running futuremark 03 and it boosts to 925mhz, is there a setting in ccc that needs turning on ?
Sorry mate, just realised you have an AMD card. I know jack sh!t about those!! Lol
