My first modification

Damn it, such an retard today.

Yes my Primera is a UK car, but I love the JDM style Primera's so am trying to style mine in the same way. First stage is getting some crystal headlights and some Xenon's.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread!

As for blinding other people, only on 4X4s or if badly setup (which is bad with halogens anyway). BMW X5s are by far the worse 4x4 blinding-death-light culprits
BMWs generally are, I'm afraid. Whenever an oncoming car with Xenons dazzles me, more often than not it's a beemer. They seem to be the masters of piercing, dazzling, badly adjusted lights and just seem to drill into your skull more than any other manufacturer.

Low, stiff, cars with xenons seem to cause problems, as they bounce up and down with the nose a lot.

They are so much better than halogens for night driving, but they're a royal pain in the arse when you're sitting at the same height as them

Well the JDM version of your car had neither Xenons nor crystal headlights.

To be honest I think people get a bit carried away as to the significance of JDM.

Perhaps I should GermanDM style my car! Woohoo, that would mean orange indicators all round including on the rear light clusters, and taking out the climate control and multifunction wheel :p

This image shows otherwise, this is a 1998 JDM Nissan Primera:

Quite clearly crystal headlights, and some of the later P11 (same as mine) did have Xenon's as a factory fit option.

Maybe I do get a bit carrier away with the whole "JDM" thing, as do a lot of other jap owners, and a lot of German car owners with the DTM style...so what?

Fox do they work on full beam?

No, my full beam is still Halogen. Undecided as to whether I'm going to buy a Xenon kit for my full beam, need to get some proper use first and see. I spend quite a lot of time doing 25 mile trips late at night at the moment on empty-ish roads so may well decide its worth it..

Bi-Xenon is well worth it. Love the Xenon main beam on my A8.

What brand are these out of interest?

I have bought a car (legacy) that has projector type lights but no HID, so I assume retrofitting them isn't too hard.

I had a quick look on eBay but they all seem boyracerish.

I wish my headlight wash system actually worked. I did around 600 miles in the xantia last saturday when it was really cold down south and everything was covered in frost (and the roads in salt, grit and mud). I thought I must have a bulb out because the lighting was so bad on the dual carriageways. Pulled into a petrol station to check, nothing wrong, cleaned the headlights with a snot rag and voila I had decent headlights again. The jets must be blocked or something on the headlight washer jets. I could actually see for the last 200 miles of the trip,. Amazing!

This forum is awesome, it really is.

Bump an old thread and people moan. "OMG DEAD THREAD!!!"

Start a new thread, and people still cry. "OMG USE SEARCH, NOOB!"

Seriously, which one is it to be?
