My latest system tweaks:)

Got paste?

I got the IC paste sent from that big thread, with the promise of testing against the others.

I was expecting just one tube of which ever type, as the thread says, as soon as both types came in the post today I was surprised in a good way:)

Stulid, you have said in another thread, I can't find it right now, that the extra money it costs for SandyBridge over AMD pays for itself in electricity as you have seen your electricity bills plummet. Do you think this could be anything to do with the Lucid Virtu of your motherboard? Or would that not make as much of a difference. It got me thinking for a bit anyway and would be nice for your opinion.

No idea, could be the fact that the i5 2500K uses about 60W less under load just to run the chip on its own compared to a PhenomII, my PC is on for a long time per day too.

And I got tracking info today for another bit of the "System tweak"

hey stulid, can you give me some answers about the mobo you bought :
ASRock said:
■Free Bundle : 1 x Front USB 3.0 Panel, 1 x Rear USB 3.0 Bracket, 1 x 3.5mm Audio Cable
the front USB3, is that a floppy drive size adaptor?
whats the rear USB3 bracket for  a pci blanking plate replacement?
and why do you need an audio cable

cheers. got mine coming tomorrow as you seemed very happy with yours, and you are known for being on the money when it comes to components

cheers for that :) my case dont have any 3.5" front panels so i guess i will have to use it at the rear, clever thinking from ASRock to give the option.
will any audio lead work then or is it a special one?
