My Microsoft Exams

70-270 was fairly easy, I had loads of time left too

70-271 / 70-272 look easier than the above, probably should have done them first, but meh

Decided to take your advice and I've booked this exam, taking it on Wednesday. :)

How does it compare to the XP one in terms of difficulty? I'm guessing the passmark will be the same?

Hey Guru.

Im gunna say this quietly.... i found the XP exam slightly harder then the server exam. i think i just got awkward questions. pass mark is 700/1000 again. less questions then the XP exam too.

Over 2 hours left !!! How long do you get for this. For one of my CCNP exams, I had 60 questions that included simlets and physical configuration and only got 90 mins to do it in with a min pass rate of 84 %.
 
Think work are going to be asking us what course we'd like to go for. Considering we are now using Server 2008 I figure it would be best for me to start going down the 2008 route from the start, rather than the 2003 then to 2008.

About 12 years. Nah about 3 and a half hours lol :D

I thought that, but we have about 300 clients and about 6 of them have server 2008 lol

Defo go for Windows Server 2003 next, 70-790. Thats my plan, I have my XP exam coming up soon, soon after I do that I will conquer the 70-790.

I've already decided which exam I'm doing next :) It's the 290 and I've got it tomorrow.

Please can a passing Don rename this thread to something like "My Microsoft Exams"

Good luck on 290 Guru, I did that one last year and I must say I found it much harder than the Vista equivalent of the XP exam you did (which I did yesterday and passed!).

Still, if you've been through the book and can answer all of the practice questions, you should be good to go.
 
take it you just have the answers if your booking the exams so quick.

do 70-270 and 70-271 for MCDST, then head towards MCSA. 70-291 network inf will mess you up if you do it properly. thats the only one i was worried about, rest were pretty much same level as XP.

I don't have the answers and I've not booked it quick.

I've got CBT nuggets and MS Readiness Review suite.

I did the XP back in October :)
