My New Car >>>> Lopez's

RWD plus Turbo?? I'll keep an eye out for it in the local ditches :p

Seriously though, it is a great looking motor. I was looking for one a few months back but couldn't find anything that was right. They were either modded (and I wanted to do that myself) or not very well looked after.

I'm a bit jealous of that one, looks in really good nick.

... I wonder if the engine will fit in a volvo 940?

Could the back seats fit two of my 6 foot mates in the back? Really interested as im loving the look of htat car.

I didn't want a modded one either, and found that most of the clean looking ones were autos. Very frustrating!

That engine is going absolutely nowhere. Don't think I didn't see you eyeing it up today Leon :p

I can say without a doubt, NO :p I am 5ft9 and my knees are rammed into the back of the driver seat if I sit in the back.. and that's with it adjusted for me driving. With Leon driving, no-one would get in the back. It may be a 2 + 2, but the back seats are only good for midgets and shopping.

Technically yes as I've done the 4 in the car a few times, but its not recommended.

Edit: above post says no with drivers seat not moved forwards. To be specific, yes Ive had to drive with my knees against the steering wheel. Sorts the men out from the boys with clutch control driving like that.

Nicely done Kate, is on my list of cars to look at in the next year or so, helped by the fact my uncle is a nissan mechanic :)

Hmm, it's been lashing it down all day.

1) I can see how folk wrap these things up in the wet
2) It's quite amusing driving at 45 degrees everywhere
2) Marshall Powermax tyres are not very good in the wet

:D

Sort of. It's do able for short journeys but if you're not a midget then person sat behind the drivers seat would need to put their legs over towards the passenger side.

Depends what you're used to I suppose, although I don't think anything that gets to 60 in just over 6 seconds and carries on to just shy of 150mph could be described as "disappointing" unless you're used to driving Astons, Ferraris and Porsches. :)

You'd have to be brutal to get mid 6's as standard. I just doesn't feel that fast as standard as it's quite refined with very smooth power delivery. I was coming from a Volvo 940 turbo so had got used to about 160 bhp in something that's not that much heavier.

Very nice Kate :) If I can cope with RWD then you sure can!!!

I think you and I should join JapGirls and storm JAE :p

Well, I definately think you and Leon should come to JAE this year!!

Very nice, I am sure I know that car and have seen it about locally to myself...probably wrong
Yeah wrong, we've been nowhere near Burton in it and it's a London car :)

I knew you were bagging one of these (also a SXOC member and 2000 s14a saphire/cream tourer owner)
I thought you sold yours? Or were going to sell it?

It's not that quick as standard, in fact I found them quite disapponting. I still bought one though as with stage one mods they do feel properly quick. A performance exhaust makes a massive difference.

A performance exhaust is the start of paying propper fuel bills. There actually ok on the motionLotion..Until you put a turbo back system on. Then its first name terms with your local petrol station staff.

But then again the joy of the SR20DET/s14a's is when ya get bored spend 2 or 3 hundred pound and release a few more ponnies. :D

As standard the boost solenoid limits first and second gear to 7 psi with 3-5 being 10psi.

Some new spark plugs an £80-90 fuel pump and a £40 daws device to say 12psi is going to give a noticeably better time than the 7s+ standard figure.
