My New Car >>>> Lopez's

I'd forgotten to do one  Just took one now. It needs a clean though, and you've just reminded me that I need to put some grease on the bonnet catch because it looks a bit dry.

I also debadged the back yesterday. It had a vile "Glyn Hopkin" badge on the opposite side to the 200SX, so I removed it. The paintwork was dull around the 200SX sticker and there was loads of dirt around it that I couldn't budge, so I removed the badge and got rid of all the scum with some G3 compound. Finally, I waxed and it and now you can't tell it even had badges it on the back :) Looks much better now.

And finally, my insurance certificate has just popped through the door so I'm off to tax it :D Huraah! (Tax ran out on Saturday, and I hadn't got the insurance docs because of the postal strike).

That is exactly and i mean exactly how mine looked when i picked it up in liverpool, same stickers and mess on battery, same grime. Few hours later and a tin of gunk and a dozen rags + wd40+few broken knuckles and sore pinkies i had it shinning. Must get a pic or 2 of mine up. :)

Yeah it does need a bit of a clean. Was quite glad it was dusty when we went to look at it though.. shows any leaks etc. up nicely. Will give it a good degrease when we get back off hols :)

Oh, and whilst I was rifling through my paperwork I got with it the other day, I discovered that it was bought on 24th December 1999 and had private plates (Nsomething NSX) on it. They're still in the boot! Apparently it was a woman who drove it, but a bloke who was on the V5, so it looks like her husband bought it for her for a Christmas present.... NICE! Can't see Leon doing anything like that for me :p

Do you have the usual leak down the front of the block if you look down between the fan and the block were the head sits on...slightly offset to the right? Hows your VVT :p

Oh..Dont buy any tuning bits from the UK WHEN you start to want a little more power. I got £500 worth of bits delivered to me for £280 from Japan/America.

Hahahah it does awesome donuts :D

Oblivious, I have left some marks in a wide open space, see if you come across them ;)

Knew it wouldnt take long :D

Just picked up my car with a 1.5 way LSD fitted, its like trying to learn how to drive again trying to pull out of tight junctions, its quite embarasing. :o

Junctions and roundabouts get taken like a Grandad at the moment. High gear, slooooowly with gritted teeth :D Getting better though actually.

It's amazing how suddenly everyone on the roads seems to want a race. An Alfa tried his luck today and I just couldn't be bothered, so I slowed right down and let him bomb off in a cloud of diesel smoke. Overtook him later on because he was stuck behind a bus *nelson* HAAA HAAAA *nelson*

My VVT is fine actually. Leon says that you can hear it a bit from cold sometimes, but we just went out in it now and it was fine. Oh and I checked for that leak too... it's there  I didn't notice it before. No fresh oil, so it's only seeping out very slightly, but it's there nonetheless.

Thanks for the tip with parts too :)

Took it to Wales and did a few shots against slightly more impressive scenery.

Any recommendations for cleaning the leather? It has some ground in dirt in the side bolsters.

After a couple of pics it was my turn to have a go behind the wheel.... I do like going sideways

Using a similar technique on those rear tyres, bang and the tread is gone :D

Don't really want to use that on the leather though!

No, probably not a great idea. I just saw the words 'ground in dirt' and the whole techno remix came flooding back :p
