Well I tried Paul's trick of attacking the jacking point covers with a heat gun this morning and now they seem to stay put a fair bit better!

I wonder how long it'll be before I find one dangling from it's tether when I arrive at work again..


Also had the issue of RCA plugs not fitting in the back (or rather, not being able to push the HU all the way back with them plugged in!) as well. Might have to get creative with some right-angle plugs or something if I fit a sub

Damn, makes me wonder why BMW charge £75 for standard matts (luxury ones are even more).

Just hot knife a bit of the plastic bit out behind it. only need an inch or two to get space.

Maybe the cage behind our headunits is different to yours. You know what Ford are like with keeping things constant....

Its amazing how rare Xenons are on these, 90% of the ones for sale dont seem to have them, even ones with the sat nav/parking sensors.

Maybe your HU is shallower than mine

I'll pick up some right angled connectors (they only cost pennies) and try it when I get around to it, I'd rather do that than chop holes tbh
