Not at all, I've owned the others and they are great. I've never owned or driven an ST170 as I think they are a bit overpriced but they can't be that bad surely. The normal Focus is praised for its excellent handling and with 170bhp, 6 speed box, sub 8 second 0-60 time and smart looks - is it really that bad?

You have to work the nuts off the ST170 to get the most from it, peak power is up at 7,200 rpm IIRC. Some people will like that, some won't.

The RS is group 17, however parts are scarce on those and repair costs are rising. I also agree that the ST170 is stupidly expensive to insure car.

Same with most higher power N/A hot hatches.
