Cheers chap. I think I can live with it for now.

Maybe something more serious will go wrong in the future and I can always mention it then as an additional problem. I assume I would be without a monitor for ages if I sent it back anyway

Actually they either send a technical courier out (Loath to call them engineers

) with a refurbished one or if you get a new one they ship it and arrange collection of the old one later on!

anyone know if connect to the dvi port with vga to dvi adaptors work? i am thinking of selling my current pc due to upgrade and and my other pc has only vga out, and my x360 is uing the vga conn on the 2405

It doesn't work. Could either go for a VGA switch or put the 360 through component. If your other PC is so old as to not have DVI it may also not be able to push 1920x1200.
